Driving directions - WDW to airport and Port Canaveral to WDW - help please

We are renting a car at Port Canaveral after our cruise in August. Our flight out is the next day, and so we thought we would spend the day at Downtown Disney. We are from the west coast and are rather nervous about getting lost!
I've checked with mapquest and the AAA site, but their directions are different!! Does anyone have any advice re the least stressful route from the port to WDW and then on the the airport (MCO). thanks

Can't help you with the Port to WDW part. From Downtown Disney to the airport, turn right coming out of Downtown Disney. Go through 2 or 3 lights and make a right exit at the overpass (536), there will be a sign for the airport. This is 536, keep going straight and it turns into 417. Stay on 417, go through 2 $1 tolls. Get off at the Bogey Creek exit, make a left at the bottom of the ramp and you will be on the airport entrance road, just follow the signs for your terminal (A or B). 417 is an easy road to travel, better than I-4 and the Beeline. It should take 25 to 30 minutes from Downtown Disney.

Hi Whiskers....from the Port.....if you are renting from Avis at the Radisson you would make a left out of the parking lot and follow signs for 536 west (the Beeline). This wil lead you to 417. Follow 417 until you see signs for WDW. There are a few WDW exits.

It is pretty much the same directions as DebbieB gave you but in reverse. You actually pass the airport exit on 417 when heading back to WDW. Same tolls.

When are you sailing in August? We are sailing on the 8/3/02 Magic Western cruise and are also renting a car when we disembark.
