Ok, VR Brides!!!

I'm pulling my hair out!!

I'm searching and searching for the perfect dress, well all the dresses I've found have long trains on it. Yes! they are beautiful but how crazy is that going to look for a VR??!!

I know its not a wedding, well it is, but it isn't!! Oh boy!! Could I be anymore stressed.

My question, I know it's my day but how many people have these wedding looking long train dresses for a VR? I just need some DISER'S advice.

I need coffee, I need sleep, I NEED A DRESS!!!!!!

We're celebrating 20 years with Mickey and I'm wearing a very "weddingy" dress. I have a long train and everything. The biggest difference is that it is red.

Here are a few pics of my dress.

Wear whatever you like. No, it's not a wedding, my hubby has told me that many, many times. But he helped me pick out the dress.

It's YOUR day, you do what feels right to you!! I've been married before too (only to another man), so I decided this time to still go with a white dress, but it's shorter (little shorter than tea length). There were some really good sales going on for end-of-summer wear, and I found this beautiful white formal sundress jumped out at me at Macy's.

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone else. Don't wear what you think everyone wants you to wear - it is your day! Wear anything - train or not!

And BTW - the red dress is breathtaking. How wonderfully princessy!

Have a look at some of Maggie Sottero's Destination dresses. I think most of her dresses are gorgeous, and there are a few in the destination section that are shorter, and may suit what you're after.

But like everyone's said, go with whatever you want.

If you like the train -- go for it. If you like the dress but not the train, they may be able to shorten the train. That's what I did for our wedding. The seamstress shortened it from a cathedral train to just a swoop (not sure what else to call it!!) of fabric. Be sure and ask what they would charge to do this before you have it done. Good luck with your dress.

Been there, Done that, right with you Bella!! I went thru the same thing!! It's different when you do a DCL VR because you really don't want the big poofy dress in the sand! Plus, even if you do it on Deck 7 or one of the lounges, let's face it, those cabins are TINY!! Big dresses just don't work real well.

I had a couple different options when I was looking. try some of these places.

This is the one i got! It's PERFECT! So very light and flowy, feels like a nightgown!

Try doing a search for Destination Wedding Dresses, or Informal Wedding Dresses. That's how I found most of my choices.

You are right!! those cabins are tiny! I could just see me in their getting this big dress on and stuck somewhere between the wall and the steamer trunk! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

Also, don't forget.... if you find a dress that you love you can have the train removed during alterations.

They can also bustle the train. I'm getting married (2nd time) and am going all out with a brilliant white Maggie Sottero Capri Royale, but I'm not keen on the really long train.

My bridal shop says they can do a bustle to shorten the train - Lurkyloo had that done on her dress and it looked fab.
