Good morning DISers! :surfweb:

So I had a question for those of you who have used Dreams Unlimited. I received a quote from them and after a couple of days my husband and I decided to book our room through them and we had til March 16 to book it or we would lose the hold.

I went to book the room but saw that the address I had provided needed to match the billing address for the credit card we would be using. I had originally submitted my mailing address, but we are using my husband's card which is for our address back home (gotta love all these military moves)...

Anyways! I contacted them by email a few times and left a message on their phone to see if they could change it for me so I could book the room without the booking getting denied and I haven't heard from them since Tuesday!:scared1: I know sometimes people get busy, but I'm getting worried I won't get the rate I was quoted since it expires tomorrow. I called Disney to see how much it would be to book through them and it was over $100ish something more, eek! I'm such a budget cruncher and that is something I'm desperately trying to avoid.

I've heard great things about the company and I'm looking forward to using them to book our room and dining reservations, but not hearing from them in 5 days is getting me all nervous. :worried: What should I do?? I don't want to annoy them, but I really want this room! How long do they normally take to get back to people?

If a travel agent didn't get back to me in a responsible manner and in a reasonable time, I would drop them like a hot potato. As the saying goes, "the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior", meaning, if they leave you hanging on something as important as booking a room reservation, how will they handle any future problems?

:confused3

Did you email them?

I always get in email back within hours.

Did you try to book with the CC and the website wouldn't let you?

I use Kelsie Johnsonfor my cruises, Beth Czada for my WDW trips and Kathy Werling for my Universal Trips.

I've booked numerous times through them.

It sounds like a website issue

email them at webmaster@dreamsunlimited travel.

Really, they are wonderful. The best part is that they scan any discounts and if they are applicable to you trip you get an email that says I just saved you $xxx. They've saved me hundreds!

Lack of response is why I didn't use them for a cruise. Everyone says they are great; those people are the ones who were responded to quickly. When you're NOT in that group, it doesn't seem so great.

Now THAT shouldn't be happening. Unless a TA books you in a pre-set "block" of rooms that they bought (and that brings about restrictions that aren't typical and I'm not sure DU does that) the prices should be the same. Did the Disney rep add travel insurance, when it wasn't being added in the DU quote?

The Dining plans went up on 3/12, so this is likely the reason for the difference.

I wouldn't be happy myself and would probably pay the extra just so they don't get any commission if this happened to me. However, if you still want that savings, I'd probably try to call a manager or something at DU and get it solved today. I'd say don't worry about bugging them. They work for you and need to be bugged in this instance.

The reason for the more expensive price is because only preferred rooms are left. They had blocked off a non preferred room for me but Disney said they were sold out, so that's why I really wanted to book this quote they had for me. Otherwise I would have just gone ahead and booked with Disney.

I emailed them three times since Tuesday, but I will try the email you provided as well as calling again today. The only person that I've had any contact with is Marla and she seemed very friendly when she answered a question I had about magic bands, but I've had nothing back since then. :( I'm getting bummed out because that's the money I wanted to use to do something special for my DH since its our honeymoon/1 yr anniversary.

I work for IHG hotels so I can always book a cheap room for employees through them, but I've never stayed at a disney resort and wanted to so badly. The reason it's so last minute is because we had our trip planned for later, but the Army is training him for deployment coming up and this is the only time he can go. Ugh. Just kinda frustrating :( :(

Marla is mine as well. I never wait more than 24 business hours before a response. she was out of the office for a while( got an automated email form her) so she may be catching up?

my window for ADRs opens up next week end so i have to get my butt in gear. first time on the DP and Deluxe at that so I need to maximize my TS and Signature options.

Crisis adverted! Long story short they got back with me, booked my room, and everything is set to go and they apologized for the delay. Whew. I'm just glad I was still able to get the room. Now I'm super pumped for our vacation!
