Dreams Unlimited Gift Baskets

Just back from Miami! I don't book to get a basket. I book with DU because they have taken care of me twice now and a third next year!
 
We just received ours for our upcoming trip, I really wouldn't be sad if I didn't get it but my daughter acts like it is a X-mas present. She is very into it and I really think it is just great customer service. My experiences with DU have been fantastic!
 
What about customers from the UK? We've booed for the first time with du and we're hoping for our gift basket.

We received a gift basket from DU in the mail - roughly 3 weeks before out cruise date - without sending any request. It was nice and included 2 water bottles, 2 coffee/sippy tumblers, a multi-color highlighter, a pack of glow sticks and some magnetic clips - all in a reusable DU shopping bag. :-)
We received ours yesterday (22 days before cruise). Very much appreciated and very useful items for a cruise. Although we are flying so with luggage weight limits I don't think we'll be able to bring anything :( it's a shame they can't be delivered on board anymore.
 
We were thrilled to receive one on friday- we are in western Canada and on the May 9th sailing of the Fantasy.
 
Got mine today for our June 12th cruise. Thanks DU! Krystin has been great, will definitely use her again for our next one.
 
We have 1 reservation with DU, but we're 2 separate families in 2 rooms, each with its own Disney reservation number. Would each family get a basket, or only one basket? If only one, I will make sure to give it to the other family.
 
For those of you that just received your basket, how many days until your cruise? We have 50 more days, so just wondering when they send them.

My guess is you'll receive two baskets. We were one family, one DU res, but two cabins/Disney res because of our family's size. DU was very generous and sent two baskets.

Each room is it's "own" reservation - that's why there are 2 reservation numbers. You'll get 2 baskets.
 
I wonder why that is
Dreams Unlimited's office is next door to The Perfect Gift by Shirley (the maker of the baskets). Dreams Unlimited apparently had a deal with Shirley to deliver baskets to those people cruising out of Port Canaveral (DCL used to accept outside personal deliveries to their ships there). Once DCL changed their policy about accepting outside personal deliveries, the baskets stopped. Until such time as Dreams Unlimited could figure out how to deliver them (by mail) to those who used to get them.

So the criteria used to be "those cruising out of Port Canaveral" because that's where the baskets came from. I'm guessing that's what they're keeping.
 
I wonder if, since Disney has such restrictions, it would just be easier to add, say $20 to each booking cabin's onboard account rather than buying, making and now mailing gift bags.
