Welcome Ron & Tina and Scott & Vonda! It will be nice to see you again!!!
Welcome Ron and Tina, John and Alan, and Scott and Vonda! Adventure is out there!
Thanks Michael. This will be our 2nd Dreams/Dis ABD and we are really looking forward to it and meeting everyone on the tour.
We’re over at Epcot’s Festival of the Arts today (very rainy) getting some shoes painted for London/Paris! That’s Kate on the right and the artist on left. He’a still working on them, but they’re looking good. Eiffle Tower and Big Ben.
Do they paint galoshes?
Hello! I tried posting this message yesterday, but I must've done something incorrectly since it hasn't appeared on the thread. I have booked my flights and will be flying out of San Francisco on October 1 and landing at Heathrow on October 2 at 6:52 am with my return out of Charles de Gaulle on October 14. I'm using DVC points for our pre and post stays. Before the adventure, we'll be staying at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. The inventory for the post-stay in not yet available.
Some folks expressed interest in setting up an informal chat group on Skype to talk about the trip, sharing our thoughts and previous trip experiences, and plan for the times when we're on our own. This was very helpful for our China ABD Trip last year. How about setting up our first Skype call for Sunday, February 17 at 1 pm (Pacific Time)? On Skype, I am mouseketeer.michael.
Looking forward to chatting with folks!
I'll be there! I'm doing research this week for airfare and extracurriculars in Paris.
We arrive on the 2nd as well at 7:25am. Leaving on the 13th.
Looking into the possibility of going over to Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) or up to the WB (Harry Potter) Studio. We’d also love to arrange a high tea if anyone else would be interested.
I’ll try to make the Skype!
We also are flying in to Heathrow on October2 at 11:30 and flying home on October 14 from Charles de Gaulle. I have our airfare booked now just of a matter of booking our Pre and Post nights.
Looking forward to Skyping with everyone.
Looking forward to meeting everyone. High Tea sounds great. This will be our second trip to London. We spent 3 weeks in London a few years ago. One of the places we want to visit is Harrolds department store. There food hall is amazing.
I have been doing research for Paris also.
You might check the SF/Hollywood thread.
I definitely want to attend a high tea.
we will be there for three nights prior to the start of the Adventure
There will most likely be a live Podcast recording on one of the days before we get started.
I can't I've more info as i don't have more info...but fairly certain this will happen.
A friend who enjoys tea as much as I highly recommends Fortnum & Mason for high tea. It's the official tea of the Queen and my friend claims it is "the best tea on earth."
We will be arriving on Thursday 10/3 and leaving Sunday 10/13. We will be up for whatever is planned preABD time. I will try to Skype in on Sunday, I found it very helpful for the China trip and it was great already recognizing faces when we met.
If anyone is interested in the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour, here's the link for the tickets. https://tickets.wbstudiotour.co.uk/webstore/shop/viewitems.aspx?CG=HPTST2&C=tix2 I haven't booked airfare yet, but plan to get in early on the 2nd.
Thanks for the link. We did the Warner Bros. tour in California and really enjoyed it.
