Dreams come true...WDW 8/30-9/16

TO BE CONTINUED: I just got a phone call that "Aladdin's" indoor soccer team made it to the championship game with a win a few minutes ago. I have missed all of his other games this season on bedrest...but I figure, if I am going in tonight to be induced, then no harm can come from me inducing myself (if that should happen) by going to sit and watch his final game of the season. I know I "shouldn't"...but I have been SO GOOD and hearing his little excited voice on the other end of the phone line, well, I have to run and be the proud mommy that I am. :) Hopefully I will get back in time to finish this up before dinner tonight. Sorry for the interrupted installment. :upsidedow but I am OUTTA HEAR!!:rolleyes1  :worship: :thumbsup2

Congratulations & good luck to Aladdin in the championship game!!

I'd go too, jay!

A quick update on "Aladdin's" game. His team won. It was a very exciting game (they won by one point scored in the last minute of the game).

I am sorry, but I don't think I will have time to update the MNSSHP installment before going to the hospital. I will make sure to post an update on the little prince as soon as I can and I promise to finish up this trip report as soon as I get home (and grab a bit of sleep;)).

So...TO BE CONTINUED!!

Jay, glad to know you DIDN'T self-induce at the game! Wishing you and your family the best on the arrival of the newest prince. All of us here will be anxious to hear from you when you feel up to it. :goodvibes

Yipee for Aladdin!!!! :thumbsup2 And to have Mom there was the best!! :cool1:

The baby is coming, the baby is coming ...... well, maybe the baby is here already! I'm so excited that I have goosebumps!! God bless you and that precious little one, Jay. I'll be thinking of you and waiting!!

And this year thanks to a beyond wonderful dear DIS friend, MouseTriper, we had matching outfits for the party! Let me tell you, she is one talented custom shirt/outfit maker!! And I in turn, am one lucky little lady to have her as a friend and to have been graced by her sweetness and talent!!

Here are the boys once they are outfitted in her creations. "Aladdin" and "Goofy" wore super cute shirts with Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas on them. The backs of the shirts had little Jack Skellington heads. They were really adorable. "Stitch" was Jack Skellington himself...OH SO ADORABLE!! I loved his little outfit. It came complete with a shirt with a Jack Skellington head on it, striped shorts, a striped vest and last but not least (it was "Stitch's" favorite part of the costume, a floppy bat bow tie). He looked very adorable in that outfit, if I do say so myself! Both dh and myself each had a black t-shirt with a Jack Skellington head attached to the chest. I must say, we were one nightmarish family! ;)

Oh Jay thank you for all the kind words!!! I had so much fun making the Jack Skellington outfit for Stitch and the shirts for Aladdin and Goofy.I was sooo tempted to throw the floppy bat bow out since it didn't turn out the way I actually planned BUT I am sooo thrilled that Stitch loved it. They looked so cute!!! It really is a shame we missed each other the next morning! Next time Jay....next time our DIS meet must happen!!

Ohh congrats to Aladdin on the BIG win!!!!

Now, I can NOT wait to hear about the newest little Prince of the family!!!!! I am praying that all went well and that you and baby are doing good!!! Looking forward to hearing from you!!!!

MouseTriper did a GREAT job on those shirts! And Stitch could not be any cuter in his outfit!! Hope the rain stayed away for MNSSHP, can't wait to hear all about it.

Loved the outfits! The boys looked fabulous and your friend did an amazing job. I have never seen that movie and I keep meaning to -- now I'm just gonna have to!

Thanks for the compliments, I had a blast creating them!!! My little one loves Jack Skellington too!!!

I found your report 3 days ago and just finished. What a joyful, wonderful and amazing trip you all had and I had no waiting for updates. Thank you for sharing. Your family is beautiful.:goodvibes

I am so jealous that you got to attend a focus group AND got paid for it too. That would have made my day. I have already told the kids about the runaway frog missing on the monarail. :lmao: We all got such a laugh with that story.

I will now wait with all your other fans for the news of your newest prince.
:grouphug: God Bless

I hope all is well with your family and the new little one! I have really enjoyed reading your trip reports for the last two years (wow!)

Congratulations to Aladdin on his big win!

Be well, Jay, as you bring your newest prince into the world. My prayers are with you and your family.

JayBat!!! We're holding our breath here!!! I hope you and He-Bat are ok!!
Thinking of you  and sending  :wizard:

I was over in the Magic Kingdom this afternoon and found a way cute baby gift! Now, all we need is the baby! waiting . . . waiting . . .

We are finally home! And our family of five is now a family of six!!

Our littlest prince was born on Jan. 14th at 12:56 PM. He was big for his gestational age. He was 7 lbs even (they rounded up just a tad ;)) and 19 and 1/2 inches long. He has big dark gray-blue eyes and wavy brown hair. I know I am biased, but he is most adorable (if I do say so myself)! :lovestruc :cloud9: He spent a bit of time in the NICU (feeding issues) but after having his stomach suctioned out again on day 2, he turned into a little piggy and was promptly released. My antibodies did cross over and his platelet count is low, however, his levels are not in any sort of a danger zone. As long as things continue on their current course (his counts have gone up a bit each day), he will be 110% as soon as my antibodies leave his system and it looks like he is in absolutely no danger from them while they are there (prayers and good thoughts on that count would be MOST appreciated). Also, as long as I am requesting those, a few that his biliruben levels go down would be much appreciated as well. If his levels have gone up at all (he has his an appointment tomorrow afternoon) he will have to do light therapy. Not a big deal, I just hate the thought of him having to have his little heels poked anymore. Since Monday, he has had a heel stick at least once a day (and twice on some days).

But all of those minor issues aside, he is a very sweet, calm baby who loves to cuddle and is doing very well! He is happy and healthy and we are all so happy that we were finally able to come home. I was hoping to be "outta there" come Tuesday...which stretched to Wednesday (the initial time we were told we would likely be released) and then that turned into this (Thursday) morning. When release time came and went and we were still waiting on test results, I got VERY antsy. ;) Lucky for them (I mean us :lmao: ), we were finally allowed to leave late this afternoon right before dinner.

As far as I go...thanks to an epidural that NEVER QUIT :thumbsup2 :worship:  having the baby was a painless breeze...until I tore a muscle in my mid back :scared1: by lugging my dead weight of a lower body around. Seriously, I was still numb enough to do surgery on five hours AFTER delivery! I was unable to walk until EIGHT hours after delivery. To say the epidural was effective is putting it mildly. ;) All of that being true, I ended up being in no pain from the actual birth/recovery but being out of commission from my back injury. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: Only I could pull that off! My OB said I was "definitely unique". So...I am not allowed to lift anything more then the baby for the next month along with a few other restrictions due to the other pregnancy complications.:confused3 Didn't they get the memo that I was ready to be off of restrictions?! On a more serious note, my platelet level has now stabilized (it's still way low, but has not dropped in four days and in fact, seems to be "trending upward"). As long as my platelets continue their slow climb and I learn to hold my horses a bit longer on the get up and dance, clean out the garage, move the couch and mountain climb list...I should be good to go. :) So...long babble short, mom is doing well too. ;)

We arrived home to a house filled with yummy Panera Bread soups and sandwiches thanks for some dear friends. We grabbed some food, plunked in a family movie and all of us curled up on the couches and watched/napped the evening away. It was a great first night at home as a family of six.
