Dream April 14,2011

We might get a town car to bring us unless we switch hotels to the Radisson, I heard it's very nice and close to the boat

That hotel is nice, their pool is nice, but their shuttle service has been criticized and complained about a lot on different review boards. We changed our reservations from Radisson to Doubletree on the beach, price is about the same, but have to pay for shuttle/ taxi about $4 per person, not a big price if it goes smoothly compare to a mad house. If you are at Radisson, call them ASAP to make shuttle reservations (our friends on 4/17 sailing could only get 12 pm shuttle, they called 3 weeks ago :scared1:, so they will have to take a taxi anyway).

We never had a problem with the shuttle except that we were 15 min. late getting to Port after packing up last time. I love The Radisson because it is very clean and the sleep # beds are soo comfortable and the kids love the pool.

We stayed there last time too, and loved the hotel. We got our shuttle on time, but it was a little "crazy". Originally I made reservations there again, but then I saw so many unhappy posts, we switched. Hopefully, they resolved their problems by now bs so many people complained. It seems like the problem was bs they had one shuttle instead of two a few times, and that created some problems. Hotel itself is lovely, and we loved ordered food from room service. :thumbsup2

Just a reminder: this coming Sunday (3/20/11) is the last day to join our FE gift exchange. It takes time to prepare gifts (some are preparing handmade gifts :woohoo:, and it takes even longer); thus, to be fare to all, we have to close it soon. Those who are still thinking - time to make a decision and to join the FUN, FUN, FUN! :cool1:
I am still waiting for some info on participates (missing names, cabin numbers as per previous 2 pages posts) . Please PM me or post here.
Time is flying - our cruise is so soon!!!! :grouphug:

Preparing FE gift bags - I was just wondering:
Diane, "4kittymagic" - are you still with us? I did not see you post for a while...:confused3
"jasky" - Jayden (4) is a boy, right? (I know a girl named Jayden and a boy, so I just wanted to double check); who else is traveling?
Jennennep - Jennen - please let me know your cabin number, so that I can add it to our FE participants list info.
:cloud9:

yelena, what is your dd's name?(you can pm me if you like). We actually had a precruise meet with some girls on the 4/10 cruise in Pittsburgh on Friday, and they have also been emailing another girl on the 4/10 cruise, so my girls are goign to be so bummed when those two families are b2bing. I assured them they will meet a new crew to have fun with. :lovestruc

Wow - great for you to have a Pre-cruise meet!!!:thumbsup2
Her name is Katya. She does not know anyone her age from this sailing. Our friend's son will be in a different club (he is older). It will be great for her to meet your daughters. Crystal will be posting a few dates/times for M&G later this week. Hopefully, we will get to meet at the first one

The meet was fun. I keep telling them that they can be 'tour guides' on the second leg of the cruise. Kenzey is 9(well, she will be Friday :bday:). Matti is 11 but she is going to go to the 10 and under club. We are going to skip the embarkation lunch on the 14th and just be at the pool when it opens, so after you have lunch, you will likely find us there. :cloud9:

Greeting folks. This is your Captain speaking...
We will be departing for the Bahamas in 20 days.

Anyway...

I will post the spreadsheet for anyone that needs it. It will be downloadable from one of my sites so that anyone on our cruise can get it.

We don't have anyone new here right??????

FE is a GO!
Yankee Trader is a STOP!

We have reached our official deadline to join FE gift exchange. I will PM all needed info to everyone. Before I do that:

I was just wondering:
Diane, "4kittymagic" - are you still with us? I did not see you post for a while...

Jennennep - Jennen - please let me know your cabin number, so that I can add.

All FE gifts are packed! :cool1:
Time to start packing! :dance3:

clothing codes for young children. I wasn't sure if kids could wear shorts and flip flop for dining. I'm aware that they wouldn't recommend us to wear shorts for dining but kids?
any tips?
thanks!
22 more days!!:dance3:

On our last cruise, our son (18 at the time) wore long shorts and Polo t-shirts. No flip-flops - he wore black Van's shoes (similar to Keds). Our DD likes to dress up. So she usually wears summer dresses with sandals.:goodvibes

Kids can get away with almost anything, as long as they look nice. My son wore long khaki shorts and polo shirts last cruise and on Pirate night he wore jeans with a piratey looking t-shirt and he was turning16.

I will be posting some extra meet and greet times tomorrow since you asked me too. I went threw everything tonight. :woohoo:
