I am not sure I am even doing this right but here I go! My family booked a trip for our FIRST disney cruise!! May 8th on Disney Dream! CANNOT WAIT! Have lots of questions?? What is with the fish on door? Do I need to bring things to decorate? Pirate party? Do I bring things for kids to dress up? Is there a formal dinner night? My boys are 9 and 12....girls are 12, 13 and 15. Will the older ones be ok? bored? Can the boys do the club things together? What else do I need to know? Please help!![]()
. Disney is not really allowing the doors to be decorated anymore so I would not worry about that. The Pirate Party well that is just a blast...I did bring pirate wear for my kids and they had so much fun with it
. It is a night for the whole family that is for sure.
They is a dressy night but not a formal night. I had the kids in ties that night but no jacket. I will have a 9 year old boy and a 7 year old and the older ones will not be bored at all. I would say bring a powerstrip, and read the new passporter it gives you lots of info. Also try everything at dinner it is worth the extra weight. The boys should be able to stay together in the clubs I know one might have to stay down or one might be allowed to go up. The biggest thing is just get ready for the time of your life. It is so much fun and you will never get everything in so don't try. Just do what you can and don't forget to have a little rest time. And check this board we all share info about the ship and the things we plan to do or not do. And again welcome we only have just over 5 months to wait. Here's a video of many of the interior spaces on the Dream:

well we are in Dec and only 8 days away from the Dream being handed over to Disney....Only 8 Days!!!!! I can not wait.
And we're about six weeks away from the maiden voyage of the Dream. Soon, there will be first hand reports from people sailing on the ship, along with copies of the Navigators and pics. I can't wait for that either!

!! I hate snow so this is not wanted by me anyways. I did take the kids sledding. But all this snow make me more aware that xmas is only 20 days away
and that I am now more than ever looking forward to this trip. I am so ready to set sail and for the warmth of the island.Well we got snow....!! I hate snow so this is not wanted by me anyways. I did take the kids sledding. But all this snow make me more aware that xmas is only 20 days away

Snow is a rare event in the part of the country I live in. When we do get snow, its usually gone before the day is over. We're in for some unseasonably cold weather next week - Low's in the upper teens and highs in the fourty's. Very cold for us southerners!
I'm headed to Columbia, SC this evening to see the Christmas lights at Riverbanks Zoo. First time ever seeing these.
well have a great time...and you can have our snow if you want it.

Thanks, but I'll pass on the snow!![]()

Here's another updated on Disney Parks Blog on the Dream. This one has details on the three main dining areas: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...-promise-magic-on-the-plate-and-on-the-walls/
I have Mickey calling the house on xmas morning so we have to open our gifts before 930 so the kids can have them all opened before Mickey calls. Nothing like having to work around a time on xmas morning. But then again I don't think I will get much sleep that night and I am sure the kids will be up early.
