Hi all, I'm wondering if they offer any special classes while in the world for animation. My DD will be 8 at the time but LOVES to draw and used Disney Art books all the time. I thought it might be neat if she could learn caricatures or something? Any ideas? Thanks

Well, in the Animation Building at MGM Studios there is a drawing "class" where an instructor shows how to draw a character (I did a pretty good Mickey Mouse :teeth: ). But I don't know of anything else.

When we were at Disney Quest a few years ago there was a place in there that had some drawing classes. they lasted about 30-40 minutes, you used a computer screen to draw your picture. Each class taught a different character. Once the class finished you could purchase your picture if you wanted. Then you could sit in the chair and wait for the next class , or move on and let others sit. I am not sure if that is still there, but it was fun.

You used to be able to take an animation class through Disney Institute, but no longer. It is a shame, it was a lot of fun.

We did the class at MGM at the Animation Tour...I have absolutely no artistic talent...but my drawing came out pretty good. You can actually tell it's Flik!
