I left you with us heading over to SSE. We wanted to be close to the entrance of the park so that we could head to the airport to get my cousin on time.
I love SSE. I consider it a must do. Joe and I rode together. I think my nephew wanted to ride this one by himself for some reason.
I follow the rules and don't use flash so my pictures are kinda terrible.
After SSE, we parted ways with the rest of the family and Joe and I headed to the airport. It was my first ride in our rental car since I had been driving my sister's car since we arrived.
We were texting back and forth and our timing was perfect. Just as we were entering airport property, she was on the fake monorail making her way to baggage. I jumped out of the car and told Joe to do laps while I waited for her to get to carousel 2. Turns out that he didn't have to. They let him stay where he was.
My cousin arrived and I could tell by the look on her face that something was wrong. She was in a HUGE amount of pain. Being an EMT, she sorta knows the drill so when she mentioned that she "might" have to go to an urgent care center, I knew that meant that she HAD to go to an urgent care center. I asked her if she wanted to go there now, or later. She said we'd go "later" so we collected her bags and made our way back to EPCOT.
I pretended like I was seeing this for the first time again.
We parked the car and sent the fam a text to see where they were. I got my cousins 4 day hopper and we entered the park. We took photopass pictures when we got there. I will be posting them all at the end of my TR.
We met the family back in Germany.
We got a frankfurter and an apple strudel. I split it with my cousin and asked her how she was doing. She wasn't doing well but wanted to press on. She took a few advil, or was it tylenol, and we pressed on.
We did a bit of shopping in Germany. I got a Steif for my collection and my mom got gummy bears...she is totally addicted to them. Doesn't even share them!
From there we moved on to Japan. I wanted to pick a pearl. Joe picked the shells out for me and we ended up with two of them. One was 7 mm and the other 7 3/4 mm.
We stopped for a funnel cake after that which we all shared. By that time we thought it would be best to go back to the resort, check my cousin in and then head to the nearest ER or Urgent Care Center.
We made our way back to WL first.
We checked my cousin in my mom's room. It's $25 a night to have a guest. I didn't think that was too bad, but I was bummed that you can't add them on and get FD, etc. Eh, whatever. I was glad that she was there with us. The CM at check in gave us a pamphlet of all of the Urgent Care Centers around and told us that the closest was close to DTD.
After dropping her bag, Joe and I put her in the car and off we went....to the grossest place I have ever seen!!!!!!!! Get this! As soon as you walk into the urgent care, there is a rack of potato chips and soda. If you want to buy them you have to go to the desk and the same people that check you in etc are the cashiers as well. How stupid is that?
This place was creepy, to say the least. We called and they said that the next "time slot" was an hour out. We didn't think that was bad so we gave her name over the phone. Once we got there though, the story changed. I totally understand that they have to take people based on their situation. The place was packed when we arrived and no one in the place spoke English. There were people translating for people all over the place which is fine, but it would totally freak me out if the doctor that was taking care of me couldn't communicate directly with me. The doctor's spoke English but you could see the panic on some of the faces of the patients. I felt bad.
My cousin checked in and had to use this filthy computer to answer a bunch of questions. It was totally gross. They said that it would be a couple of hours. We had an ADR at Grand Floridian Cafe that night and I also had a specialty cake waiting. I didn't know if I should have the rest of the family just go and get the cake or what. We waited and waited for her to be called and then finally, she went to the desk and told them that we couldn't wait any longer.

She decided to make an appointment for the next day and try her luck again. The only problem was, the next day was our anniversary and I didn't have the hear to tell her that Joe and I were planning to spend the afternoon together. Joe and I scrapped our plans and said that we'd bring her back whenever she could get in.
So, we left there and honestly, I felt like I needed a shower. I have never seen a medical facility that filthy in my life.
Next up...did we make it to GFC on time?
