Downside to Full use TDM - rofl

Ok, there had to be a down side to it right. Not complaining - just passing information along. Don't worry though I am through the quest I will be continuing to labor at it for friends.

So here it is. The recharge on one time use is set at 1 hour. Which is programed into your character. What this means is if you win a one time use TDM or several they are also tied to the one hour now. (trust me multiple stars might be the only way around this for your character)

No matter what, once you own Full use you can no longer save them up and do them several in a row.

Again just passing the info along.
 
Way to Go on completing the Quest :cool1: And it's great that players like you who have done the quest are helping others who can't get passed POTC.

Are you saying that if you have more than 1 TDM you can't use the second...right after you're done with the first?

Also is there a limit to how many times you can use it over all?
 

Same thing with teleportation. I had finally gotten five star, and I had a one star too. I used five star, but I couldn't use one star after it.

There is a way to do TDM twice in a row. I saw someone do it either yesterday or this morning (I can't remember which). I do know he had an unlimited and a single use, but he disappeared before I could ask him how it was done...sorry! I know it's possible, though.

I had 10 single use TDM saved up and was also wearing my unlimited use TDM. The key to using them in a row, is to START with the single use, right when you log in for the first time of the day. Then you can do all those in a row. Then you can use your unlimited TDM right after.
 
SLightly off topic- but the recharge time of a 5 star teleport is so fast that really it doesn't matter that you can't use it again immediately- because it is only a few seconds before it is ready
 
Host_Hula told me last night that if you use single use Treasure Detector Magic first you can use the full use immediately after without having to wait the 1 hour recharge time. However if you use the full time use first you will have to wait until the full use has recharged before you can use the single use.

True, It doesn't matter - but for a long time I liked to keep mine separate.

I had noticed this my next try but had not yet gotten consistant results. I posted an edited update with the info, but next try it failed so I edited it back to the original post. Thanks for confirming.

Not true, they have switched trade on and off a few times now. It may go back and forth a few more times or remain one way or the other for long periods. It has been posted so I will address it. The surface reasons are obvious on the trade and the extended time - really it functions like no other magic, The time is because it would be rediculas if you could just keep using it. Keeping all stars the same maintains that time and eliminating the work arounds does as well. I believe they may have an underlying reason as well. The trade issue has several reasons why they might want it not tradeable. As it was programed it is true it could be traded one to another all day and each person would need an hour between their uses. Stopping the trading has three affects 1. It prohibits muling the magic all day 2. It elliminates scaming on this magic -including as you are passing it to all your friends to use one deleating you and you never see them or your magic again 3. lessens the possibility of people profiting from the quest on that item.
