Hi again,
I'm still playing catch-up after being gone a week. Thing here at work seemed to have gone crazy while I was gone! I'm still sifting through the mess.
Welcome to our latest swapper!!
Anyway, more trip info ...
The kids loved, LOVED everything I think - especially when they no longer had to walk everywhere

.
We started at the Magic Kingdom. We went after dinner the night we got there for a couple of hours and rode a couple of things and saw Wishes. Then we spent the whole next day there (Sunday).
Monday morning, we got the kids up early and tried to do AK. It was a bad day for the kids; I think we had kept them up too late the night before or just wore them out. We left there after lunch at Rainforest Cafe and went back to the hotel and slept. It was a good day to do that - as it was the only afternoon that it rained. We went to dinner that night at Hollywood Studios (50's Prime Time) and then saw Fantasmic (great show!!).
The next day (Tuesday) - back to Hollywood Studios for the day. We had lunch at the Play-N-Dine at the Hollywood and Vine - with JoJo and Goliath, Leo and June from Little Einsteins. This was pretty good. The character interaction was good, but the food was just ok. That night I think we went back to MK again.
Wednesday we slept in and went to Epcot a bit before lunch. We had a late lunch at Coral Reef. That was a pretty cool place and the food was good. The dessert (the Wave I think) was out of this world! We spent the afternoon there and stayed to see Illuminations. I was a bit disappointed with that - I thought Wishes was much better.
Thursday - we had a late breakfast back at Epcot for the Princess Storybook Dining. Dd loved this. The food was good and the meal even comes with a picture package - 5x7 and 4-4x6's of kids with Belle. We also saw Mary Poppins, Mulan, Jasmine, Snow White and Aurora there. That afternoon we just hung around the resort, swimming, resting and had a late dinner at Chef Mickey's. The characters were good here too. It is the fab 5. We had seen most of them other places, but had fun seeing them again.
Friday - we had an early breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace (Pooh characters) and got to get into MK before the park opened. That was really cool. We got some good pictures in front of the castle without the crowds. The food here was the best we had all week. Yummy, dh mentioned the puffed french toast again just yesterday.

We spent the day until we were worn out at MK - then went back to the resort to swim and pack up to leave.
We actually left a bit early as we wanted to get back to Dd's soccer game that was scheduled for Sat. afternoon (rescheduled from rain-out). So, instead of sleeping there Fri. night, we took off at 10 PM and drove all night to get home. I had trouble staying awake, but that's the way to do it. It only took 8 hours elapsed time to get home since we didn't have to stop as much and didn't eat, etc.
Sorry, this turned out longer than I antcipated!
Favorites:
Meals - food = Crystal Palace, character interaction = Play-n-Dine at HS
Parks - Ds = Hollywood studios I think. Most things we did there were targeted more at his age level and he loved meeting the characters as much as riding the rides.
Dd = MK I think. Although when I asked her what her favorite thing was she said "do I have to pick just one?"
I will get some pictures uploaded this week and try to post them here.
I'm so ready to go back already! Jill - Did I read the list right that you are going back AGAIN in January? I am SUPER jealous. I wish we could do that. It will likely be about 2-2 1/2 years before we go back (sneak in one more trip before dd turns 10).
Again, sorry for the long post ... I got carried away!
