Yeah!!!! My husband was just saying he is only working a couple days in Oct. The rest of the days we are on vacation.. lol He said he isn't going to want to go back to work..

Our documents aren't even getting SENT to us...so we wont' be doing the doc dance. Becuase we're leaving so early for WDW (20 days!!), our TA was concerned about whether we'd get them in time so they're being sent to us at the resort.

I am sitting in front of my TV watching QVC Irish Festival and drinking Baileys carmel and ordering way toooooooooooooo much but loving it wait till you see me hopefully if it is not to to hot in all my Merino wool sweaters, I will bring one no matter how hot it is

Okay, Sarah...I was going to wait for an official Canadian description of poutine, because I have NO idea what it is. I just couldn't resist Googling it though. OMG...I think I would *SO* would that!! Can you say COMFORT FOOD?!! I LOVE french fries with gravy on them...then you add that extra little touch of curds. Wow...interesting combo. What else can you share to educate us?

Poutine is just yum. Unless you're on one of those diet things... *grin* it's pretty common around here to the point where burger king and other fast food joints have it on the menu...not that i'd eat it there hehe

In the Maple Sugar world of things, i'm a big fan of the maple sugar candies you can get, and maple fudge.

I'm right there with you! I've pretty much gotten brushed off on this one. I'm so tempted to call the local news! They eat this kind of stuff up! Right now I've just decided to join the crowds car pooling. At least we are only about 2 miles from the new school. On the happy side - I love Grady's 3rd grade teacher and Megan got the best Kindergarten teacher and her little friend that she has been in school with since she was 2 is in her class!

Just looking for that silver lining!

I'm so happy the holiday weekend is here - I should have at least one ENTIRE day to work on cruise prep! I have 24 sewing projects cut out and ready to go... it'll be Project Runway up in here. Make it work! Then it's time to finalize the packing list and make sure everything is present and accounted for... I can't believe it's so close!

I'm getting closer to having all my sewing projects done too! I have one pair of pants left and 3 vests for Pirate night. Then finish bags, pillow cases and Secret Mickey gifts. Then comes printing off door magnets and t-shirt transfers. I'm not sure where I'm going to fit packing into my time.

We are slowly being removed from the possible landfall locations (if you guys wondered where we are....if you see the map of LA and look at the lakes at the bottom left of the state.....we are at the northwest most edge of the large lake.) As long as this storm doesn't wobble back east we should be ok. DH battened down his parents house today and just headed outside to start on ours. We do have an order to evacuate and the college I work for is out on Tuesday as well. Since I took today off that means that I have a 5 day vacation....of course hurricane prep is not really vacation.

I'm glad to hear the storm is moving away from your area! I'll keep praying and sending the pixie dust your way!

Seriously, I was thinking about starting a new thread on the cruise board to ask if anyone has actually measured the door! I've started compiling my door signs in Power Point and plan to print them on glossy photo paper and put magnet strips on the backs. Then when the cruise is over I have instant Scrapbook material! (I have to admit I'm like Drea and collect stuff with the good intentions of putting books together)
I know I have read how large its is before... SOMEONE else Ive seen has covered there door in butcher paper and had drawn out an extensive pirate/disney collage. It was great... If I ever come across it... Ill post it.

Well, needless to say I am now driving my children to school!

Thanks for letting me vent!

Every day this week I have anxiously approached my front porch hoping to see that the Brown guy left me a present. Nada.
I did get my new earrings today to wear with my formal dress, however!! BLING!l They are the "journey" design....just beautiful!

Eariler this week, I spoke to DGM, and she said she hadn't yet started on my pirate costume, which was appropriately prioritized as the costume can go without a fitting if we run out of time. She said she was almost finished with DM's costume though. I need to get my hat embellished tonight...I've been dreading that task.
Cant wait to see all 3 generations all decked out in Pirate gear how fun!

So call me CRAZY, but I came up with a new cruise project. So at lunch today, I went out to buy everything I need. I'm trying so hard not to dig into it until I have everything else done. That way if I don't get to it, then I can return the goods. So......I need to get crackin' right now! I'm going to try REAL hard to stay away from the DIS. I get sidetracked too easily!

"yes, this is ****, we bought a house from you last year. We got a Disney package delivered to our house today and my son opened it without reading who it was to because it said Disney.........and well..........it is your Cruise paperwork............." So, it looks like our docs got sent to our old address even though I updated our info months ago. So, I can "kind of" do the Cruise Docs Dance. I will pick them up tomorrow

Oh my, QVC. I haven't ordered anything from there since I was in college. I bought a pie/cupcake carrier that was an octagon shape & two tiered and folded flat for storage. And then I bought Richard Simmons Sweatin' To The Oldies. I was in COLLEGE...and of course I never used it

Wow! You're really lucky the people called. What nice people. The a** that bought our old house kept TWO UPS packages that arrived...one was a $400 wall mounting bracket for a flat screen TV and the other was a big tin of poporn from one of Jeff's clients. Refused to call me after I had left notes in the mailbox & on the front door with my info & asking him to PLEASE call. So I knocked on the door a few days later, he answered and said "I have too many boxes to go through from moving. I can't look for your box." JERK.

So....glad your new home owners aren't like that!! Our guy would have gone on the cruise himself

We've gotten so much stuff for the people we bought our house from (over 3 years ago - and we STILL get stuff), but the never left any forwarding info, so mostly it just gets trashed. I always feel bad about it.
