If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion.

On your spreadsheet for the tab that lists all

Add two columns

1 that says Adult count
1 that says child count

Then total at the bottom.

I think that is where a lot of the questions are coming from.
It makes shopping easier.

Let me know if you like my suggestion.

Thanks

I counted twice and I came up with 66 kids. I did not include the one son who was 18. (I did include Sara who was 3 mos). I just printed the list with everyone on it, including the adult list.
I have it marked now with allegies to. so far I have 3.

anyone else count?

Executive Decision.

I am designating

Channel 9
Security code 27

As in 9-27 (First day of Cruise)

As the open public Dis Channel for the cruise.

So for all those with Two Ways mark that down.
You have a 1 in 835 chance of figuring out my designated personal channel. It is rather amusing. It is usually DW yelling at me to come back to the room, stop drinking, or that we just won jackpot bingo.

I will have mine on 9/26 pre-cruise. I am staying at the boring Holiday Inn Select but I have all these points to use up.
It is in the same parking lot as Publix so that comes in Handy. I recall there being a bar there called McGuires that had your typical bar fare as well.

As for my ? about do we exchange with the whole list or just those with families if we are a family, etc. - I don't quite understand the idea of splitting up the list the way we want. :confused3 Is everyone doing the whole list then?

I believe the list is divided up in order to give each person participating options they can afford.

Examples:
Adult only cabins
1 gift per cabin
or
1 gift per person

Adult & Children Cabins
1 gift per cabin
or
1 gift per adult only
or
1 gift per adult & 1 per child
or
1 gift per child only
or
1 gift for all children in cabin to share

Divide the list in 1/2
give gifts to 1/2 of the list from
Adults only cabins
or
Adults with children cabins

I hope this make sense to everyone.....this is just my take on it.

I am giving 1 gift per cabin for everyone in that cabin to share.

I hope everyone doesn't get too stressed out about gift giving. The idea is to have fun with it. Personally, I love to give and receive gifts.....big, small, inexpensive, expensive, homemade, storebought, etc.

I am one of those people who can't resist opening up the package if I find it, (and I do go looking for them) see the gift, rewrap, and can be just as thrilled when I get to officially open it up.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Wow. It sounds like many of you have lots of wonderful things planned for Fish Extenders.
Please know that I put our name on the list becuase we will have our FE up. I am planning on making a VERY small (worth about a nickle) token gift for each cabin. Other than that I have put most of my time and $$ into lanyards which are not really a FE gift I know. So, PLEASE if you will be upset if you give us one of your wonderful nice things and only get a tiny little token in return then please just cross us off of your distribution list. I won't mind at all. I just don't want to upset anybody. Thanks:)

I personally love to give things and I don't care what I get or if I get anything:) You have spent money on the lanyards and that's good enough unless you want to get something else.

Now a dumb question about the FE's.

Do we sign our name to the gifts? or is it anonymous?

I ordered free address labels so I am putting them on the gift bag. For me it's easier to put them in a little bag. I think I will put the stateroom # on the tag too if I end up doing different little gifts for the kids.

My 6 year old just said, "Mom you are obsessed with the Disney Cruise." :rotfl2: I guess I need to stop sitting on the computer huh? Ha

I feel like I'm missing something then.. if there are people splitting up the list into half or doing adults only - how would I know?

Not to put too fine a point on it...but it seems most fair to exchange with those who are exchanging with me (lanyard folks included). I'm not trying to be cheap - but I'm working with a budget so I'd probably spend more per gift if some of those aren't exchanging with me....but I'm happy to do gifts for all.

I just want to understand this before I start working on the gifts!:headache:

For those looking for inexpensive things you can buy in lots of 25,50 or even 100 go to

www.orientaltrading.com

Plenty of stuff for FE gifts there.

Also keep eye open for when they run a free shipping deal or something

I am getting custom made stickers that say.

"I Love FatCat"

My take on it was that fish extenders were always the more anonymous of the gifts - I don't plan to put my info on it - thats kind of half the fun and since it will be little stuff - its more about just the surprise for everyone to come back and occasionally find something.

Now secret mickey is more where I always understood there to be a "reveal"

Just my 2 cents :thumbsup2

Not sure if anyone is hoping to get their dining changed from second to first, but with the fact that our cruise is no longer sold out (probably from the port change), I had no problem having my travel agent switch us.

I did a mock booking beforehand on the DCL website, and there was no red error message saying I couldn't have 1st dining so I had my travel agent jump on it. Hopefully if any of you are looking to switch you will have the same luck.

Good afternoon everyone! DBF and I are both off today because we had a wedding to go to...the ceremony is over, now just the reception to go. It's funny, the bride is friend of mine for about 9 years and my DBF met her for the first time in the receiving line after the wedding! :)

Only 7 days until we leave for WDW!!!!! :yay: :yay: I can't wait!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to imagine how much catching up I'm going to have to do when I get back!!!! :)

Hope everyone is having a great day! :)

Wow...only like 6 hours later do I realize I had a double post! LOL!!!!

I have read several posts back that some of you had called Disney and were able to get some excursions you wanted even though it didn't list them on the website as having availability. Can you help me with a number or extension to contact. I called Disney Cruise yesterday and got a not so friendly person that told me there is not availability and just to keep checking. Everytime I try and do it online I get an error message that there are not enough spots for my entire party of 3. Any help or suggestions.

I am trying to do one of the Cozumel excursions.
Thanks.

Those people weren't calling Disney, they were calling the excursion operator.

If you want to do the dolphin excursion you can call Dolphin Discovery direct. (dolphindiscovery.com) And the person we talked to was very friendly. :goodvibes

don't know why the quote is not in yellow in my last post but just wanted to give an answer to 2goofy2luv:confused3

my you all have been vocal.... :)

just a quick post before I take a nap, night out with the girls= sore feet, cotton mouth, and a hangover... which totallly means I had a fantabulous time :cool1: (btw Fatcat and Videoman I dont care what you say... Patron is the DEVIL:mad: !! all im going to say on that:rotfl: )

Ok F/E gifts, please dont stress over what to give or who to give to. Its
your vacation most importantly and anything given Im sure will be appriciated!

You can pass your items out at any time through out the cruise. I dont want to designate certain days because as an example, I may be having a nice frothy adult beverage by the pool on my designated day (ok probably everyday) and dont want to give up my deck chair LOL And well I dont want to make it seem like a chore for anyone

As for giving, you can do whatever you please, 1 per cabin, 1 per person, just kids, just adults, all.

Names vs. no names, again up to you! I would love to see names on things or at least when we get home if people could tell us cuz well I love knowing who gave what so I can put names with the pics for my scrapbook :)

I will get you totals of kids, adults , and break it down by ages etc also and get that tally up! (I really need that nap 1st though! or my totals will be way off, ask Kimberly about my great Math skills LMAO) Also adding the allergies changes in dinning, room#'s etc to it too! So if it changes make sure to let us know!

ok nighty nite kids! This partying like a rockstar gets harder and harder every yr LMAO

For those of you who have participated in SM before, what kind of gifts did your give/receive?

Just looking for ideas as NOTHING is coming to mind at all!

Crissi

Hi Crissi,
We did Secret Mickey on our Transatlantic cruise. We bought some little Mickey sculptures (replicas of the artist series Mickeys which toured the cournty) for our people as it was tehir first Diseny cruise. I got the COOLEST gift (one I use every week). Scoobypop was my secret Mickey and he got me a fabulous DIsney cookbook AND had it signed by tons of characters (but HE didn't sign it until after I got it and asked him to;) ).
That said--I have no idea what I am getting for my person this year (and NO I will not tell you who I have--mayeb it's you, then again maybe it's not:rotfl2: )

THANKS to you all who made me feel better baout my FE gift. The whole list thing has me so thrown I was starting to worry:rolleyes: Drea--you have really worked hard on all this stuff. Thanks.

Let me know if you like my suggestion.

Thanks

Yep...I do....'cept that's Drea's spreadsheet, lol.

Wow big FE list. Thought of giving pins.

Not gonnna happen!!!

That was my first idea too. I was actually going to have them customized with our logo. It was waaaaaaaay too expensive....:sad2: :sad2:

I'm not sure you would.....I know Drea is trying to keep a tally of who is doing what and spread it all out so distribution is fair and so that one family doesn't get everything and one gets nothing. Just let her know what you plan on and she'll guide you I'm sure. When she wakes up. :rolleyes1
THANKS to you all who made me feel better baout my FE gift. The whole list thing has me so thrown I was starting to worry:rolleyes: Drea--you have really worked hard on all this stuff. Thanks.
No worries Hadley! Its all about the fun!!!!:yay: On our last cruise we had our FE up and didn't get anything (okay...it was a Wonder cruise with a very tiny meet group and nothing like that was organized) and it was so fun just to have it up and hear the comments/answer questions about what it is. My point is it's not what's given its about the fun of giving!
