Thank you Chris and Brandie for the nut allergy warning.

This does affect my FE gift so I will take note and have an alternate treat for you guys!

If anyone else has a nut allergy please post or pm and let me know!

Thx!

Woo hoo Lois:banana: I'm glad you, Janet and your gang will be on our Stingray Snorkel! It's going to be a lot of fun!

Correct me if I am wrong but are not some folks so allergic that they can have a reaction just eating something that had been close to nuts or the oil in the air? I would be scared to eat anything that I did know for sure.

I can't wait for the Stingrays. Maybe we can meet for breakfast and walk to the excrusion together. We are so excited that we booked it for a second day the next week. Lois

Drea, thank you for getting everything organized for the FE and SM! :)

Crissi - how are you and your family doing? :grouphug:

Thanks for asking...............
We are doing OK. I think most of us are still in denial. It just doesn't seem like it could be real.

Please add us to your nut free list - my younger son is touch allergic to peanut and allergic to tree nuts so we avoid all nuts. :thumbsup2

Yes...it is possible to be allergic to things that have only trace amounts or slight contact - like my son is with peanut. He has never had an airborne reaction however - thank goodness!

Ok....so I'm a slow starter here....but for the Fish Extenders....I want to make sure I have it right. I realize the list is divided up into those with kids and those without - I'm on the "those with kids" list. So.....do I buy things for everyone or just those with kids ....or ???? I just want to make sure that I'm exchanging with those exchanging with me. I suppose it doesn't necessarily have to be a child related gift? I promise no edible underwear....:scared1:

We make one gift per cabin right? This can be delivered any night?

Many thanks for the wonderful job done setting all this up. I just want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing!

Since I am a kid at heart I am giving a small toy like something to each stateroom. I hope even the adults will get a kick out of them and then pass them on if they want. However, you only need to decide what you feel most comfortable doing and what is within your budget.

Hi everyone -
Due to the many issues with food allergies (milk, nuts, tomatoes, fake sugar, etc) and the high childhood obesity rate, I stopped giving out candy for Halloween and other functions years ago. I've picked up a lot of little tattoos, toys, bubble wands, princess hats, coloring books, - stuff that's easily packable and doesn't cost over $1. It's all stuff that I would like to have as a small surprise. The happy memories are what I want to keep, not necessarily any extra worry from food items. This is a Disney Family Cruise; I'm certainly going to act like a big kid at times.

Sorry if that doesn't fit someone's idea of a "gift" but that's the way it works best for me.

I have a few ideas right now and I haven't decided quite what I'm doing, but it will either be something for each cabin or something small for each person. I'm so excited to figure out what we are going to do for our gift.

Does anyone have a breakdown of how many people total are on the list? Ya know just to save me some counting:goodvibes

I am just making one gift bag per family. I was going to just do something little for the kids then I noticed that there weren't that many more people on the whole list. I decided to do something small for the whole family and maybe a little something for the kids. If you want to just do something for the kids, you can do that. It's however you want to do it :)

You can make one gift per cabin...it's totally up to you! As far as any night delivery...I'm assuming that and I'm sure Drea will let us know if it should be otherwise.
As far as the list goes, how you do that is up to you, too...you can do entire list....just adults...just kids...half the list. Only thing is Drea wanted to know if anyone wanted half so that she can divide it fairly to those participating so some families don't get more than others.

That's a very good idea. I wanted to be a little different and am including "special" (meaning there is more to it than meets the eye) comercially prepared candy in my gift bags. While it will not contain nuts I am sensitive to those with allergies and since there is the chance of it being processed on shared equipment I will make sure noone who should not get the candy part of it will...and will instead get other little gifts. :thumbsup2

Of course I do.:rotfl:

48 total
12 Adults only
36 with children

I am just making one gift bag per family.

I am too. I wanted to have at least something individual for each kid in the "children" staterooms but it just isn't going to be feasible. Instead I am making goodie bag with a variety of stuff in it.

hi everyone

I am SO excited about our FE/SM:cool1:

How many kids are participating?
How many adults?

So far, we plan to have a gift for each adult and I am leaning towards goody bags for the kids, I have to figure out how to get the bags packed, with the airline restrictions on bags, its getting toughter to figure out how I am going to get ALL THIS STUFF to the cruise

have a great day

That sounds nice...I will just have to see how early I can get my patootie out of bed!! :rotfl: We are really excited too...I hope the kids aren't afraid of the rays. Ron is really looking forward to the snorkeling at the reef...he has read it is really beautiful!!

We have some minor logistics issues....we want to go to the Rum Cake factory and Maragritaville afterwards but hvae to stop back on the boat to pick up the baby first since Flounder's closes at 2. It's gonna get a little crazy...we'll be running around like chickens with our heads cut off.

Which reminds me, has anyone seen the chickens that hang outside of KFC in Grand Cayman??? Talk about cooked fresh to order!! ---> chicken

Batman was AWESOME.

No plot holes, amazing acting... Wow.

Wow. It sounds like many of you have lots of wonderful things planned for Fish Extenders.
Please know that I put our name on the list becuase we will have our FE up. I am planning on making a VERY small (worth about a nickle) token gift for each cabin. Other than that I have put most of my time and $$ into lanyards which are not really a FE gift I know. So, PLEASE if you will be upset if you give us one of your wonderful nice things and only get a tiny little token in return then please just cross us off of your distribution list. I won't mind at all. I just don't want to upset anybody. Thanks:)

For those of you who have participated in SM before, what kind of gifts did your give/receive?

Just looking for ideas as NOTHING is coming to mind at all!

We can talk once on board. If not for breakfast maybe to tender to port and walk to the meet place.

Hope all is well with everyone. I have missed so much and I don't expect that this well change. My employment is going nuts right now. The state is making what I do private so I am not sure if I will have a job in the future. I only have 8 years before I can retire and don't want to go private. However in the meantime my work load is increasing almost daily and the expectation are all so increaseing. That being say I am behind so plan to spend today and tomorrow at the office. It will be quite and I will be able to get more done. Will try to take time off during the week. Lois

We loved it too! The only thing I was not crazy about was two-face's makeup job. But Lionel reminded me that it looked exactly like it looked in the comic series, so.....I guess that's ok.

Heath Ledger was AWESOME. If they do another, it will be a hard act for someone to follow.

We're seeing Mama Mia today. Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum!

Hadley, PLEASE. :rotfl: No one is going to poo-poo your gifts, the FE fun is all optional anyway! You have done an awesome job on the lanyard team, and we all appreciate the hard work you guys have done. Don't worry! Our gifts were not expensive at all......it's just going to be a little something to make you all smile - that's what it's all about!

I too do not have much to spend and got some cute items on-line to share. The point is too have fun and each of us decided what we wanted or could spend. You will NOT be crossed off my list. I will gladly accept anything a person has to offer. THANK YOU for putting forth the effort with the landyards I am so looking forward to having a special Lanyard for this trip.

This thread has been great and I am looking forward to meeting everyone in just a little over two months.

One day closer and still counting!!!

Lois

Now a dumb question about the FE's.

Do we sign our name to the gifts? or is it anonymous?

I do not plan on signing the gifts I have. Not that I don't want anyone to know how cheap I am I just do not have the time. I always assumed that it was up to each person what they gave and how they handle the giving. Each thread or meet group can define how they desire to have it done as well. Lois

I think we'll put a tag on ours but I don't know what we're going to give out yet. I think it is nice to know who it came from. I'm not concerned that the gift is expensive. I think the spirit of it is just to have fun. Certainly those who did all the work with the lanyards should participate and not expect to give more!:thumbsup2

As for my ? about do we exchange with the whole list or just those with families if we are a family, etc. - I don't quite understand the idea of splitting up the list the way we want. :confused3 Is everyone doing the whole list then?
