I'll join any other early birds for a walk. I think I've been up before sunrise almost every day over our 4 previous cruises. Walking Deck 4 is awesome and early mornings deck 10 is empty too.

Shell: you need more disposable clothes so you can pack more shoes. and buy more stuff.

LOL!!! I figure that I will have plenty of room for extras when I empty all of the FE stuff out. I started sorting stuff that I have on hand ( I keep a LOT of stuff around here because of all the years I've taught Sunday school and children's choir... ) for kids' FE gifts. I'm excited because I have almost everything I need. It's gotten kind of wild sorting by age and sex, though ....

Now, I need to start the adults' ..... making those, but I'm only doing one per room.


Oh, and for the record, I'm only taking 2 pair of sandals (wearing one to make it easier to go through check-in), a pair of tennis shoes, and water shoes. Well ..... that's the way it stands now. It might change if I find something fun to wear with my pirate costume .....

They all pack nice and small, except the running shoes (which I need to remember to pack in a plastic bag, so my luggage does not smell like my running shoes!)

E is in for running with you crazy people.. I may join ya.. at least a few times LOL ... walking for sure.. I say the earlier the better 730-745.

Since E is in, Jared wants in, too. Someone let me know what time you guys are running. I sure won't be in the running crowd. I might do the walk, though.

Hey all... made some changes to the F/E list! They are now in numeric order. Lois made that suggestion and i have to say GREAT IDEA. Will be much easier to drop off. (If anyone wants it another way.. email me and I can send you the spreadsheet that you can alter however you like

Aww thanks for missing me Kimberly I have been trying to skim and read but I have been so crazy busy that posting just hasn't happened. The first weekend of Hello Dolly went pretty smoothly. The cast party was at our place Saturday night and was bunches of fun, my first full day of working as the Young Adult librarian yesterday (not just a sub anymore) went well, Marika's online courses (something new we are trying) have been taking LOADS of our time but we are finally getting all the bugs worked out and the yshoudl be good soon, etc. etc. One of these days I hope to have time to sew my pirate costume, finsh FE gifts, etc. Let's see we leave 3 weeks from Friday and:
Spending 20 or so hours a week helping neighbor who is ill with treatments or watching her daughter
4 more performance of Dolly
6 days of my mom visiting (including staying a night up north and a night in Boston)
Dave in Michigan for a week
a weekend camping with the theate group
working a regular schedule for the first time since I had kids
homeschooling
2 pirate costumes to make (one is cut out)
FE gifts to finish
Rio's Halloween costume to finish
Packing

Other than DISNEY where do you most like to go on vacation?

Dave--another cruise line (but DCL is best)--Princess for the afordable ones
Hadley--Big cities (places I would not want to live but love to visit). My favourties (in no order) are: NYC, Montreal, Toronto and Chicago.
Marika--she's never been but she wants to go to Paris. Of places she's been--Puerto Vallarta and Boulder, Colorado
Rio--Legoland California (a close runner up for Dave)

Other than DISNEY where do you most like to go on vacation?

Me & DH: For a close by vacation, we LOVE to go to Seaside, Oregon. We have a timeshare right on the beach and it is just beautiful, although it is hit and miss with the weather. We also try to go to Vegas about once per year.


DD & DS: Also love vacations at the beach.

Vacation "other than Disney"?!? What is that? Is there such a thing as a vacation that doesn't include or connect to Disney in some way?! I want to come out right now as being vehemently morally opposed to such a thing!!! (and I can assure you that Jason feels the same way!!)

so, last night, a friend of mine and I got into a heated arguement about another friend of his.. we have been friends for 3 years and they have been friends for 10.. well this "friend" has decided that his friend who is like a sister to him can decide that if she tells him not to be my friend anymore, he wont be.. I swear I felt like I was back in grade school... my solution.. I told him he can keep his Jealous/Spiteful friend and have a nice life..

also last night, I noticed the 2 dresses I have been watching now have bids on them.. one is already at more then I want to spend.. and I really, really, really, liked the dress too..

oh, yea, and Today... I received a call from DCL.. we will NOT be getting the private room for Dinner because we only have 9 adults instead of 11 since 2 had to cancel sooooooo now we have NO reservation for the double birthday celebration at Palo..

Ughhhhhhhh.... I just want to go back to bed...

Workout: I hope to get to the gym, its been a bad summer with the kids home and when They go back Sept 3, the gym is my first stop after I drop them off!

That's what I did.. I felt so yuck since I didn't go all summer. I took the kids to school and then right to the gym. I gainned 5 lbs over the summer.. Gotta lose it before the cruise. I was thinking of taking my workout stuff, but I don't know if I will go. Now walking, I love walking fast so I could do that

Oh Eric, I would like to agree with you but unfortunately yes there are vacations without Disney . Because WE are so far away from any Disney (12 hour flight to the nearest, Disneyland) we have to go to other places .

So QOTW - our favourite places are Fiji -sand, no surf, peace & quiet. The kids get to swim all day & I get to read, Gold Coast of Australia - no peace & quiet here though (they are our winter destinations) and any of our own east coast beaches in the summer.

IF we cant make it to the gym maybe we can have a walking group? I think one deck has a "track", I belive 3t imes around is 1 mile, we can pick a time and if anyone is interested be there, if you cant make it NO WORRIEs! Anyone up for this? We can pick a time? I am thinking a morning walk? A ship is so peaceful during this time!

This sounds great! I've been thinking about taking advantage of walking on deck 4, but walking with a group sounds even better!

Other than DISNEY where do you most like to go on vacation?

I like the idea of an Alaskan Cruise! (Even better with Disney!)
We just bought a camper and plan to visit many different places.

Grady asked the other day if we could go see the Grand Canyon - I can see that in our future.

Doug and I would love to visit Austraila one day too.

I know there has been a lot to comment on, but it's taken me hours to read all the posts from the last day or so and there is just too much to comment on. I'm going to make it a point to check here at least once or twice a day to keep up!

Dh: is the Disney fanatic, he is the reason we go to the parks every year. His favorite place was Brazil.
Me: Destin beach in Florida or anywhere I dont have to cook/ clean.
DD: Chicago..American girl is there
DD: Chicago same reason
ds: NY, we just went to see the Statue of Liberty. he loved it.
I like to go home too and visit my hometown Pittsburgh. my mom spoils us.

You should all know Erik and Jason take lots of short trips to NYC to see shows. In my book THAT is a vacation. Goodness, right behind Legoland in RIo's book was Rochester (we sawe Erik and Jason and WICKED there--how is that not a vacation!). Erik, I agree thoguht that Disney is best and the only place to spend substantial amoutns of time. All those cities I listed are long weekend kinds of places.

And now---Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to sew I go . . .

I've had an acute sinus infection for the past week and couldn't figure out why my meds wasn't working better......I was only taking 1/2 the dose.....read the bottle wrong........my travel anxiety is kicking in big time.
