OMG, in one week from now I'll be at the airport...probably getting on the plane! I'm excited yet so scared for the flight! :scared1:
WooHoo! Just remember all the great flying tips everyone gave you here & you'll do GREAT!!

Also room service will make Grilled Cheese sandwiches. They are off the menu but just ask Chef Mickey.
Thanks for pointing that out! I didn't know they would do that....Reese is obsessed with grilled cheese sammies!
Hello Everyone!,

Me, Joe (37), DW Danielle (38), DD Tesa (14) and DD Shayln (8) will be taking our 4th Disney Cruise (3rd on Magic). We now have a hectic :hyper: two weeks to get everything ready. We will driving down Fri night / Sat morning. If anyone has DD the same ages please contact me and I will give you their email addresses so you can quickly get to know each other prior to the cruise.
Can't wait to get on board!party:
Welcome, welcome! Glad you'll join us!

PLUS those of you who plan to wear the logo shirts or coordinating clothes will likely already be wearing them. Maybe after the gathering in PL we can just all stroll (in an orderly mob, lol) up on deck for the photo. Set the time for 3:30ish??
Opinions?

;)
I think that's a fantastic idea. Is the group picture something we can coordinate from off-ship? I wonder if they'll be too busy with embarkation photographs to send one our way? But the timing is awesome, I think...and the fact that everyone will be dressed in their logos or special clothes (those who choose to do something like that) will be perfect too!

Any time for the group photo is fine with us, and we will are willing to pitch in and pay too. :)

Good morning all -

Welcome to the group lexiconjoe! :welcome:

Yes, Jen I think we are all busy trying the get things together! I know I am. I packed about 95% of DS3's clothes last night. All outfits in a ziplock so I can just hand him the bag in the AM, no thinking required! I also packed his PJ's this way along with a pull-up in each (He still hasn't mastered potty training at night). Got most of my toiletries, etc. packed too. Between Denise and I we are a traveling pharmacy, but I would rather bring something and not use it, then not have it when we need it! DD10 packed most of her stuff together in bags for each day too. On a suggestion that Denise read, we rolled her sundresses and got all 5 in one large ziplock.

I am leaving myself to LAST!!! I hate deciding what to pack for myself...........anyone else feel the same way?

Any packing strategies you seasoned cruisers would like to share?

Have a great day!

Crissi

This is what Ron said...small amount per person easily we'd have it covered . He also had an opinion on the time, and I think it is really a good option if it is feasible for the Shutters staff. He says we really should think about doing it at the Dis Meet on embarkation day, as that is one time we know we will all be there together. As he put it, after that everyone else gets so wrapped up in their vacation, plus with all the diverse plans, appointments, reservations, special events later on in the cruise that we will be really hard pressed to find something else that works for everyone. Of course we have opinions!!! :rotfl: I don't have a problem chipping in and that time seems good, except I believe we would have to arrange it prior to boarding. I'm not sure Shutters is open when you are first on the ship, does anyone know for sure? But it does sound like a great plan.

Well, I'll be there next week with my Dave, but I won't have my laptop to post...however I know MagicMe will keep us updated! ;)

:thumbsup2 I'll keep Amy and Dave posted on the board activity and I'll keep all of you informed of what they're doing. I'll try to talk with Amy as we all know the only info I get from Dave is related to food!! :rotfl2:

Personally I think this is a GREAT idea if it can be arranged.

I found more ginger chews last night!

We can all relax now. ;)

I'll be posting right up until we leave, so if anyone needs to coordinate anything you can just PM me and I will share it with the group. If anyone wants my phone number just send me a message. I am happy to help with whatever, since I think I win the prize for living the closest! Followed closely by Jen :thumbsup2

:rotfl: It's close....Maggie's only a couple miles up the road from me..and the Epperbikers aren't too far either!

We always shoot to leave at 7AM on embarkation day. For whatever reason that actually equates to 7:20...

Lots of cruise prep to do today...woo hoo!

Here is an ODD request I know. Do any of you who live near port (not flying) think you may be in a book store between September 20 and sail date? There is a book Marika has been anxiously waiting to come out and it comes out on the 20th (day AFTER we leave). I would LOVE to surprise her with it on the ship but do not see how I could get it. IF anyone would be going by a book store anyway (I would NOT want any of you to make a special trip) and would be willing to pick something up for me then please PM me. Of course, I will pay you for it when we get it from you (or mail you a check before we leave).

Thanks.. ohhh I see. There was a 0 missing on the other post so that's why the code wasn't working. :)

So do you use both codes?? I have a Costco card so i'd love to get a better deal!

Yes, I used both codes. BCD# W852802 and coupon code # UUPZ011. Or you can use either code above that Crissi posted. It comes out to the same price. $23.72 for a full size car.. before taxes.

Sorry if its been asked...is anyone doing the jeep tour or jungle hike in Cozumel? hubby and I like both but can only do one ;) has anyone all ready done them from a previous cruise? any info would be appreciated...thanks Renee

Okay - you don't get anything extra by using both codes? I already booked using the Costco code but if I could save even more $$, I would cancel and rebook.

Welcome aboard:goodvibes

Is anyone who is going down next week going to be posting updates at all from WDW? Just curious. Most of ya are pretty quiet now, you must be verrrry busy! :rolleyes1
Well,I shouldn't be talking.... I finally have ink for my printer and have accomplished absolutely nothing today. I'd better get to work. ;)

I'm bringing my laptop so I will be checking in from WDW next week.

I am leaving myself to LAST!!! I hate deciding what to pack for myself...........anyone else feel the same way?

i

I'm still in list mode at the moment. I'm shipping a ton of stuff down tomorrow so I will have something at least packed, but I'm hoping to pack on Wednesday.

This is great news! Even better, this wave probably won't get its act together to ruin our Wonderful vacation!

Let the packing continue, and continue, and continue! When will it even end... oh I know, the morning I put my butt on the plane! I'm so excited to meet everyone and have an awesome cruise. We'll be in WDW before the cruise and will post quick updates.

EXCELLENT!!! Thanks for making us happy!! :goodvibes

I'm terribly excited to meet everyone, too!

My number one packing tip:
Put an outfit for everyone in each piece of luggage, that way if one bag doesnt show up, you have atleast one outfit. :)

I love the idea with the ziploc bags for kids clothes. Having dh dress son is a joke. :lmao:
if you havent done so, put all liquid cosmetic in ziploc bags to just in case they would leak. (I too have a walking pharmacy.).

Pack swimsuits on your carry on. the pool is a bit crowded on the first day, but the kids dont care and it is a good way to burn off some energy. :)

pack your cell phone charger!! your phone might not work on the cruise, but you might need it when you travel home.

This week is my goal to start putting clothes in the suitcase.

Hello everyone,

Almost thought we were going to have a big disappointment. Last night my mother who already wheel chair bound and uses a walker fell in her room. Here we are 2 weeks away and they (my parents) were going to have to cancel. We went to ER this morning and luckily it just a sprain. She does have to stay off it for at least a week. The part we were worried about is that even though she's in a wheel chair, she does walk with the walker to get to her seat on the plane. I hope nothing else happens in the next 2 weeks.
