1) Yes ::yes:: There IS a free shuttle Van
2) No, no reservations needed.. There is a shuttle van runs about every 20 minutes.. so no worries.. you'll get one..
3) umm this one, I'm not too sure.. I only assume it starts as soon as the first people get there that dropped off their rental..

Thanks! These are the answers I kind of expected (or at least hoped for)!!

Why are they called Lovebugs when No one Loves them !!!! :confused3

Apparently they spend enough time loving each other!! :lmao:

well because they are ummmm well ummm to put it delicatly 'joined' to their mates all the time. One flies in each direction.

This is what I found:

Plecia nearctica, is a member of the family of march flies. It is also known as the honeymoon fly, telephonebug, kissybug or double-headedbug. Upon reaching maturity the lovebug spends almost the entirety of its life copulating with its mate, hence its numerous romantic nicknames. The male and female attach themselves at the rear of the abdomen and remain that way at all times, even in flight. In fact, after mating, the male dies and is dragged around by the female until she lays her eggs.

Oh. My. Gosh. THANK YOU for posting questions and answers like this!!

I had been skipping over all the car rental stuff, because in my head, we would have had to pay for the rental to sit at Port Canaveral for a week, and it was cheaper to hire a town car.

BUT...we'll rent a cheapo car at Budget, return it the same day & take the shuttle over. DUH! Hadn't even THOUGHT of that!

So...you guys just saved us about $150.... Can I just say I  my DIS friends!

OK, so the Williams Wheels are turning here....

Our flight on the 4th isn't until 6:30pm. So now we've rented a car. Heeeeey....we have PLENTY of time to stop at EPCOT and use our annual passes for the day!

So...now, we're going to EPCOT for the day after we got off the boat! Instead of sitting at the airport for hours & hours, we'll just drive ourselves to Disney for the day.

Yay! Epcot! You can feast in the food from the Food and Wine Festival! :)

Heather...brilliant idea! I love it that people are finding all these ways to make the most out of the time they have!

At lunch, I went to a scrapbook store that had a grand reopening over the weekend for their new location. (I need more flesh-colored paper for my Snow White, Jasmine, and Cinderella pages that are similar to the ones I posted last week.) If any of you scrap, you KNOW you can't just stop when you find what you want/need! I found some tropical-fruity-drinks-with-an-umbrella paper that I thought was festive. You know what that means?! I need pictures to coordinate with that paper!! So fair warning now that if you have a fun drink in your hand, you're likely to be shot! (haha...get it? shot as in 2 oz and as in camera).

Throwing out a reminder that if you would like to show your face(s) before the cruise, you can post a pic on DISDoubleDip.

Just like a man to not let it go LOL doesnt know when its over... its over man! :rotfl:

OMG that is funny! :lmao: (Sorry our male friends out there!)

Okay - I'm sure all you veteran cruisers can probably answer this....

I've booked my one day car rental from Budget. We plan on dropping the car at the Budget rental place near the terminal and taking the shuttle over.

1) they do provide a shuttle, correct?
2) do you need to make any kind of reservation for this or just wait your turn?
3) what time do they start shuttling people over to the terminal?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

You can also drop members your party off at the port, they can go in and register you. ( if you are in the same cabins...) they just take your passport. you will need your drivers license to get through security. then someone takes the rental car back and takes the shuttle to the port. we did this last year. I had us registered and waiting to go. we only waited about 10 minutes or so for dh, then 10 more minutes to board. :) It worked out great, we plan on doing this again this year.

Glad we could help. the price is unbelievable, we'll see you at Epcot, that is where we are going, food and wine festival here we come!

Hey...does anyone have an update on Alex that they're permitted to share? I'm concerned since Julie hasn't been posting in a couple if not a few days.

I gave her my number, but never asked for hers, I dont even know her last name to look in up in the phonebook, I hope she and Alex are OK

this is what we plan to do

Welcome newbies:cheer2:

Target has LOTs of pirate shirts for adults and kids, of course I find them after I made them, Oh well, it was fun and I like them!

I hope so, too. It's quite possible all is good, and Julie's just really busy running a household and school filled with 4 kids on her own! :)

I do have her personal email addy. I don't want to sound like a stalker, so if she doesn't post in the next couple of days, I'll at least leave her an email. Perhaps she has more time and/or accessibility to read that. If Alex is not doing well, no doubt she has her hands full anyways, so I don't want to get in her way.

Sending good thoughts...........

That's not being a stalker, it's more just being concerned. I hadn't noticed that she hadn't posted in a few days, but as soon as you said something I started to worry and wonder. I hope everything is well with her and her family!

Check out Dollar too!! They do the same thing and they were cheaper then Budget the last time I looked :thumbsup2

Has anyone heard from Charlie? I wonder how he is doing too.

Not me. Thanks for that reminder, too. I've made a few comments direct towards him since he should have been home, but I haven't seen him post either. I'm guessing he's been in drug-induced dreamland. :confused3

(I just looked, and I have his email addy, too..........)

Have this been asked yet?
how many plan to rebook while on board?

We are going to book I think for 2010. :) My mom is going to join us. :)
Maybe I will talk dh into a 4 day Wonder cruise too.
