My new luggage came in the mail yesterday!! Now I can start packing!

Also, I'm one of the newest NHL 'cheerleaders'. I'll be a member of the Washington Capitals Spirit Squad this year. (Go Caps!) It's not Exactly cheerleading or a dance team, but we'll be doing a lot promotional things throughout the arena on game days. So, I'm going to be pretty busy preparing for the season before the cruise (preseason starts on 9/25, and we leave 9/26). Hopefully I still have time to pack!

Did anyone receive true luggage tags in their packets? last year our luggage tags had Tink on them, this year we didnt receive any.

I did.. but thats cuz i got the package deal for post cruise to the POP and the parks.. I got hard luggage tags with Cinderella's castle on them.. they are very purdy LOL. But in my cruise stuff just got the lime green ones. (they must know we DIS LOL)

Don't feel bad about packing I haven't started either and we leave 2 weeks from today I have things in our spare bedroom and everyday I walk in there and keep adding more to the piles DH keeps asking if I am ever going to put them in a suitcase Knowing the way I function I will be running around crazy the weekend before

I keep throwing everything in my closet. I sure wish we had an 'extra' space right now! With dd's birthday party the weekend before we leave, I can't just throw everything in our den, either. The party will be here, and that would be QUITE a mess. LOL!! I guess I'll start doing that on the 21st or so...... ... *after* the party.

Ya we are throwing J's party on the 20th also.. poor kid stars school and his bday is the 1st or 2nd day so we wait a week or too.. or in this case this year a month LOL and have his bday so he actually knows his classmates to invite them

When I get paid on Friday, it's the last payday before I leave! I can't believe it!!! I'll get paid the day before we get on the Magic, but I'll be at WDW till that point. I can't believe it's coming so quickly!!!!

Uh...uh....I have plans with the Captain.

This is actually a stat that sometime ago I thought I should have kept track of simply because I think it would be cool....but I didn't. I guess you can just look for the peeps in the DDD t-shirts in the First-Timer's line at the terminal. You know...the line that will go SO much faster than the hazers' line and who have a boarding pass with a number smaller than yours.

We're some of the new folks! My DH, me, and our 3 year old son will be in 2118. It's our 1st 7-nighter and 1st DD, too. We're from Greensboro NC. I'm a nurse/newly Certified Nurse Midwife...he works in IT (wish he were here to show me how to post these pics...gonna try it a 4th time Look forward to cruisin' with you all!!

Ok...I deal with TONS of love bugs each and every year.....they are not cute...they are destructive to car paint and I swear they are attracked by moving vehicles. My brother and I also swear that they are a science experiment that escaped a lab somewhere...I just haven't been able to prove it.

Okay - I'm sure all you veteran cruisers can probably answer this....

I've booked my one day car rental from Budget. We plan on dropping the car at the Budget rental place near the terminal and taking the shuttle over.

1) they do provide a shuttle, correct?
2) do you need to make any kind of reservation for this or just wait your turn?
3) what time do they start shuttling people over to the terminal?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hey! More NC folks!! We're from south of Raleigh (Garner area). I grew up in High Point; mom & dad live in Trinity (betw HP & Thomasville). Very cool about the nursing/midwifing - are you with a practice yet? My DSis works w/Peds Oncology at Brenner's in Winston.

We're neighbors - well at least on the same deck - we're in 2076. Our DD (5) is Emmie. She'll be the brown little China girl trolling around w/really white parents (DH & I just about glow in the dark, ok...more me than DH).

I love getting anything 'hand made' (things were never homemade at our house.....mom and I are serious crafters. And I alwasy treasure hand made items. Weither it's a very artistically painted finger paint from Elliott or a beautiful quilt from mom they always get pride of the place.

I'm totally with you on the handmade thing! I always try to handmake something for my friends during the holidays & even when they don't turn out as cute as they should have in my head, I don't sweat it because everyone knows I tried!

Reese & I were supposed to have a park playdate with a new group of friends today, so we got up early & baked about 3 dozen muffins to share. Then it started raining, the park playdate got cancelled, & I'm stuck with SO many muffins!!! If any of you lived close, I'd be delivering a basket of muffins to your house! Oh well. Perhaps the ducks will like them after we're tired of eating them!

We went to the library for story hour instead, then helped a Mommy who lost her child at the library. Poor thing. She had 3 kids with her and one just wandered away! Luckily, he was found quickly....he had gone to the non-fiction section and was sitting on the floor looking at books! That is such a horrible feeling to lose your child...not that I've ever done that

When Reese was 2, we were in Dillard's department store with Hubby & then-12 year old daughter and Reese. Three good sets of eyes to watch Reese. He went through a rack of men's clothes, we went around the other side to get him out, and he was GONE.

It was terrifying...there were 3 escalators within eyesight and he was obsessed with escalators at the time. Nobody could find him...I was freaking out because nobody would lock any exit doors. Someone could have SO easily grabbed him and been gone. Reese had made it OUT of Dillards and was walking in the mall following a man with two small children. Some stranger lady asked the man if Reese belonged with him, because she said it didn't look right. He said no, so she picked him up & started walking in the opposite direction with Reese, hoping she'd find someone looking for him.

Talk about a heart attack. I still don't know how on Earth it happened with THREE of us watching him. Sigh. I'm glad it turned out like it did.

And now you know I'm a bad mommy who has lost my child in the mall. And know you'll also know why I'm a little obsessed with knowing where my child is at all times now!

1) Yes There IS a free shuttle Van
2) No, no reservations needed.. There is a shuttle van runs about every 20 minutes.. so no worries.. you'll get one..
3) umm this one, I'm not too sure.. I only assume it starts as soon as the first people get there that dropped off their rental..
