Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

Hi ladies. I am new to the Disney Dooney addiction. I just ordered a new wristlet and the CC holder (hoping for a passable to good placement!), but I have been looking at the pics on this thread and on ebay and had a question.

I have seen a few pics of a make-up bag, and I wondered if that is still available in the parks, or if it is a retired style? Also, anyone with experience know when the newer styles might be available on the Disney website? We won't be near a park for a year or so, and I would love to get my hands on the buttons or brown leather bag! I might need to settle for a wristlet, but I figure that a wristlet collection is at least useful AND fun.

Now that I think about it... I should try to wait it out though so that I can see each piece in person and choose a placement that suits me.

Anyway...thanks for continuing to feed my new addiction!

I love your leather crossbody and your buttons wristlet - both are very nice!

I wonder where the pricing mistake was on the buttons wristlet, DLR or WDW? Because the buttons wristlet is $49 at DLR. Do you think I should go buy a bunch of them before they raise the price?

I don't know, when I asked I was just told "that's the price" and the CM didn't know why they were more. I bought it at World of Disney in WDW/Downtown Disney and they had about 20 of them...all were marked $65. I bought my letter carrier at Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom and I think the Buttons wristlets were also $65 there, but I can't be sure (wasn't looking closely at the time).

I just peeked at the D&B website and flap wristlets range in price from $45-$58, with the newest ones being $58 so I'm thinking this might be a standard price increase. Don't the Disney prints tend to cost a little more in general?

I ordered the one like your mom's - these purses are very cute! Can't wait to get to a Disney park and see the new Dooney styles. The buttons pattern are very cute...and the all-leather sketch are very nice too!

Sheila, thanks for correcting the tote price, I know it isn't that price I don't know what I was thinking when I put that down. Senior moment???

I have to say that in the brown leather collection, the tote is probably the best value even at $330 when you figure the coated cotton Kristin totes in the anniversary prints are $295. $35 more for all leather is a bargain!

I got to see the new patterns in person yesterday at Vault 28. I like the Retro and Buttons but the all leather didn't do much for me.

I asked about the Tink 1/2 Marathon purses and was told they are all gone and they will not be getting any more in.

I resisted buying a Doony even though I was leaning towards the Buttons pattern in a large tote.

I am going to save my money until my LeSportSac arrives and I see how I like it. I think I might get more use out of it vs. another Dooney because I tend to keep my Dooney's in the closet because I don't want to get them dirty or too used due to the price. I can't wait to see what other patterns they will have in the Small World collection.

I ordered the same bag as you. Mine is due to be delivered on June 1 - I can't wait to see it. I have 3 Disney Dooney's but I love LeSportSac bags. I think this will be a great summer bag.

The disney visa discount is 10%. I am not aware of other discounts at present until they anounce another sale. Maybe others know of discounts I am not aware of..

Revisiting the price issue...now I say YES! . The Minnie bows and comic/red trim wristlets are now $65 at DS.com so I think there's a definite price increase going on

My plan was to pick up a few things today, unfortunately I was too late.

I'll do a better job of trying to figure out exactly what all the increases were next time I'm up that way, just didn't have much time today, but I know everything in the Buttons collection went up to match WDW prices, and the Retro letter carrier went from $168 to $175

Darn, why didn't I act on my instincts sooner?!

If anyone has reported the price on that one I've missed it.

The same satchel in the regular D&B line, just without the DCL logo, is $218. I'm guessing the Disney version is priced at least $20 higher, possibly even more than that, but hopefully not too much more.

So I'd guess under $250, but maybe not much under.

Unfortunately I don't think cruise line merchandise is typically available through merchandising.
