Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

I saw brown sketch crossbody bags and the matching wristlets at Hollywood Studios for the first time this weekend. They were at the store that I believe is called Keystone Clothiers. The store near the Beauty and the Beast show did not have them. Here's some pics I snapped.

Thanks so much for the pictures! I am in denial that I want one of the brown sketch bags (crossbody or wristlet). I already plan on getting a new cruise bag and retro bag during my trip next month. Thank God for Disney reward dollars!!

If anyone is looking for older styles, the Dooney and Bourke Outlet at Premium Outlets has one pink princess bucket bag and one brown cloth Mickey wristlet yesterday. They were 40% off.

I just returned from my first trip to DLR. Here are my newest additions!

The two wristlets are nearly identical on the front. I arrived at the parks on the day these were released, but too late to get in line for the signing. I had a nice lady on ebay buy the two wristlets and have them signed for me and my DD. I picked up the buttons tote next, and then on the last day of our trip decided that I really needed to have the crossbody bag too since it had Mickey's Fun Wheel, aka Mickey's Steel Cage of Death, on the front.

Here are some more pictures of the button tote. I really love this pattern. It's got some great unusual characters on it.

Finally, it's not a Dooney, but I thought you might like to see this too.

Someone had previously mentioned that disneystore.com usually offers a discount/sale around Memorial Day. Does anyone know if there is a % off sale in the works? I've been waiting to make a post-mom's day Dooney purchase!
Also, Lynn, I love your bags! Now, I not only want the WDW and DLR retro bags, but your photos made me like the buttons one, too! cha-ching
Everyone's photos make me wish that I lived somewhat close to either park!

Just returned from walt disney world and saw the new button bags in person. I thought they looked cheap imo compared to the other dooney bags. The material seemed more of like an iron on than genuine leather. Which was disappointing because I was ready to purchase it while I was there but in person I did not like it.

Thank you. I'm not sure about a sale, but there usually is one. Seems like someone usually knows in advance though. I'm guessing that they won't put up any new Dooneys until after the sale. I've noticed in the past that it seems like they take off the most popular bags during sales.

Do you mean the fabric that the bag is made out of? Only the brown ones are all leather. All the rest of the bags are made of coated canvas with leather trim and straps. Also, some of the styles are just canvas (or denim), with no coating.

Yes I mean the coating the bag is made of..regardless of whether the other bags are real leather or not the button bag looked cheap and poorly made in my opinion compared to the other dooneys

That's cool. I just thought that you meant that the button bag did not look like leather and the other bags do. I was just pointing out that the process is the same for this bag as most of the others, and that they are mostly not leather.

You are certainly entitled not to like the look of it. I wish that I didn't like more of the styles, or at least my wallet does! I personally don't like the look of the new "charms" pattern, it looks cheap to me. Hopefully I will still feel that way when I see it in person.

Yes I was at Walt Disney World. I saw the new brown sketch bags at Hollywood studios in the keystone store..I was on the fence with that one as well. I was looking for more of a summer bag and the brown bag seemed more for like winter/fall that was why I was hopeful about the button bag its seemed more light and cheerful for the summer. The brown seemed more sturdy and well made then the button bag and looked richer. I saw the button bag on main street in the magic kingdom the surface of it reminded me of an iron on decal that goes on a tee shirt. This trip I had no choice but to settle for the blinged out iphone cases for my iphone..maybe i will have better luck with a new disney dooney when I go back in october

Is it the shinier finish you don't like? The newer white sketch bags have that same finish and many of us are hoping it's a fix to solve the yellowing issue the older white bags with the matte finish had.

I was the exact opposite with the buttons pattern. I wasn't at all excited when I saw the pictures, but I loved it when I saw it in person. I didn't think it looked cheap at all and I love how easy that finish is to wipe clean.

It's good that everyone likes something different though. We don't all want to be carrying around the same bag.

Lynn, your retro bags are so nice! I love the buttons tote. Of course you and Sheila are the ones who won me over on that one. I am carrying that one presently and love it. I love the pillow. I have the dream one and am now wanting a second so both sides show all the time
I love the retro style and really want the satchel in it. If WDW doesn't hurry up I am going to have to get it in the DL style and I already have the tassel tote in that one.

I really went insane according to all of you with the brown sketch. I now have the tote, thanks Sheila, and the crossbody, and the wristlet. I love them. I have Mickey and Minnie on all three. I may have been stupid to pay that for the wristlet but it is really sweet.
