Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

Ive posted about my never ending Disney drama a few weeks ago. My bag arrived damaged, I had exchange drama, waited forever for info on when the exchange would happen, yadda yadda. Well, it's been over a month, and the other day our credit card got refunded for the purse. WHAT????!!!! I literally talked to 3 customer service reps (won't even call them CMs) about the exchange, sent 2 emails to guest services, wrote a letter and included it in the box with the purse, AND wrote "EXCHANGE" all over the dang box (as instructed by the guy on the phone). Now, I wasn't a crazy person, I had all these correspondences at different times in the entire ordeal, but apparently they take no notes on accounts.

Here is the kicker. I told the last lady that I didn't want the refund, I wanted an exchange. I told her that I would like to refuse that refund, or buy the purse back for the same price. She put me on hold and then told me that the purse wasn't on sale any longer, but there was a free shipping promo going on. I seriously almost blew up. I am a very calm person. I was losing it with this lady. I had to just laugh, and again explained that SEVERAL people in communications with me regarding this matter screwed up, and I wanted to talk to someone higher up than her. She put me on hold again, came back and told me she was emailing her manager and they said they could almost get me the sale price, but it would be $5 more. This time I did blow up. I threatened to go onto every customer service site I knew and talk about this. She put me on hold again, and said they could send me a $5 gift card (I already had a $10 gift card from the beginning of this mess). So I agreed, begrudgingly and paid my sale price +$5.

Now my large sketch is on its way, apparently, and I paid $196 for it, and I have a $15 gift card for the wristlet I want next. Not too bad, but I have been waiting for over a month! Grrrr! Customer service is just terrible, I must say.

Was your customer service rep's name, by any chance, Peggy? :rotfl:
 

Hello Ladies! So earlier this year I ordered a Dooney and Bourke Mickey Mouse purse. While sitting in class tonight I noticed that my outside trip had worn out in one spot and the cording was showing on the outside trim. I know that Dooney and Bourke has a one year replacement on normal wear and tear. I was sure I registered this thing but it seems I didn't. And now I cannot find my registration card :eek: Am I at a lost cause for getting this fixed or replaced? I have the receipt from Disney online if that helps but I am so worried that I am now going to have to just suck it up and go on and I hate that thought!!! :scared1:
 
So when I paid through DS I used Paypal, well they took the original payment of $185 (sketch crossbody, cosmetic bag plus shipping on it and taxes) then they said partial refund, then tonight it showed that they refunded $180.20? That is wierd...my balace doesnt say they refunded that much. I will see what it says tomorrow.

I think that the bag number can be found somewhere inside the bag. You might not need the card to register it. Maybe call D&B?

Sorry for the late post. They had a small table next to the checkout. Not much to choose from. If I recall, there were two tonal (one x-body, one wristlet), a white princess and black princess bucket and maybe one other. I wasn't impressed. Oh, well.
 
Well i looked this morning and saw that Disney did credit my account, still not sure whats going on though....gotta love modern technology!

This is totally irrelevant and stupid, but I have a cat named boots also! Told you it was a stupid comment.:rolleyes1
On your other note, the modern technology is only as good as the person programming it. After hearing of some of these sagas about the cosmetic bags etc. I am not sure the Disney team at the online store is completely up to snuff:confused3 Not very Disney at all:lmao:

Totally off subject BUT we adopted the cats from the Humane society from 2 different litters and their names were swiper and boots....kind of funny :goodvibes

Anyway, Yea I am not sure what is going on with the online staff lol I have never had such a run around trying to get an advertised deal!:surfweb:

I don't want to burst your bubble, but my experience with both D & B and Disney was less than stellar. I purchased the Wonder barrel bag in January 2010. The leather zipper pull fell off in April. I contacted D & B for a new zipper pull. They would not deal with me and referred me to Disney. Disney didn't want to deal with me since I was outside of 90 days from purchase. I got pushy and they finally agreed to give me a new bag. I did not want a new bag....I just wanted a new zipper pull. I just didn't think it would be that hard for someone to mail me a small piece of black leather and I would repair it myself.

I ended up just keeping my purse and taking it to the leather shop where I was charged $12 for a new zipper pull. It looks slightly different, but the only person who would notice it is me.

I was really disappointed that neither D & B nor Disney would stand behind a $180 purse. Disney at least tried after I got cranky, but I really felt their response was not satisfactory.

I hope you have better luck than I did.

They had a code to use for free shipping on any price order with delivery by this weekend. The order confirmation email I received said estimated delivery is Friday, 8/26. The shipping confirmation email says it was shipped today. But so far when I track it it just says "Shipment information sent to FedEx" and it says it was shipped STANDARD delivery and the estimated delivery is Tuesday 8/30. So I don't think I am getting my package this weekend even though that is what they were offering. So I guess it's a good thing shipping was FREE.

Off subject, but....We also adopted Boots from the humane society but his name was Ed and none of us could live with that and he adapted very soon to the new name, okay enough of that... :thumbsup2

Yes, it is aggravating enough they don't keep their word but at least it was free. Somehow though that doesn't seem right to promise something and then not follow thru. Maybe I live in a dream world but I feel people and businesses should be honest.:upsidedow

I also feel that way-if something is advertised-you should get it. Like with the Disney cosmetic bag, I had a code for free shipping, yet they charged me $4.95 to ship the cosmetic bag? I just dont understand some businesses-if you advertise one thing-stick with it!!! :headache:
