DON'T Read This TRIP REPORT If You're a Princess Hater!

I think you should take a few days (or weeks!) and come clean out MY cabinets! :thumbsup2

I only had one question, to no one in particular, why do I have so many lids for plastic dishes, but not as many of the dishes?

And who saves a broken salad shooter? :confused3

I'm just glad I don't quailify for Hoarders!:rotfl2:

LOL! You HAVE been busy! I couldn't answer any of those questions because it's been so long since I dug that far back in the cabinet!

And PLEASE........... don't mention that show. It SCARES me........:scared1:

Hey y'all!

I'm finally working on some photos from our Animal Kingdom day and hope to start on that update soon!

I finally have a day where I'm not getting ready for graduation or vacation or catching up on a ton of work. I'm so beside myself with my newfound freedom, I can't even decide what to eat for lunch, let alone what to do first! :lmao:

I'm actually considering starting a costume for our December trip......... Or I could take a nap..... or I could update my trip report........ or I could scrapbook........... YIKES! I just can't handle all the freedom! :rotfl:
Be gentle... I'm back on dial up! :rotfl2:

So... does that mean that December is OFFICIAL??? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Hey, you need me to wait until fall to post the next day of the trip? Just say the word, cuz I'm there for you! :thumbsup2

I decided to sew. I'm slowly working on a winter Snow White, so December looks to be a fairly sure thing. Besides, I'm out of time to put it off, so I guess that's it. I either wanted to do Halloween or Christmas because we like the parties. I like MNSSHP better, but just am afraid to deal with the heat. It's no coincidence that my original plan of going in October was drafted in my head before it warmed up for the summer! Every time I go out in the heat I'm reminded of why I really don't want to do October. Just too high a chance the heat would be around still.

Not sure how to post the photo, but here's the link to the doll I'm copying the Snow White gown from:

http://cgi.ebay.com/3rd-HOLIDAY-PRINCESS-BARBIE-SNOW-WHITE-NEW-NRFB-1998-/350471441171?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5199b9cb13

I like it a lot. Part of me wonders whether anyone will even "get" that it's Snow White. But what the heck. I think I've done 4 Snow Whites through the years for Katie in her traditional red/yellow/blue colors. I needed a change of pace! :rotfl2:

Janet,

Oh, wow! I love it, too! It is beautiful. I love Snow White!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I was putting together Evie's 7th birthday party (which was a smashing success), and then, last week, I was wrapping up my school year. Today marks the beginning of my 10-week vacation from work, and I am so excited that I can hardly stand it! I am beside myself!

Now, I have lots of time for Disney planning and Disney dreaming, and our upcoming trip will be two full weeks of Disney fun! I am going to enjoy the next 8 weeks of planning before my 2 week extravaganza.

I am trying to decide whether or not to spring for the annual pass. If I was sure I could take a short excursion in the fall or winter, I would do it. I definitely plan to return next summer, so it does make sense.

I haven't purchased a camera yet, but now that I am out of school for the summer, I do plan to research a little more.

Now, to go back and read everything that I have missed in your trip report. I haven't checked it for a couple of weeks!

But things are just different when you're at Disney. And I love that. I thought this trip would be the end of the costume fun, but as I have offered to do this or that for the next trip, she has jumped right back on board. But then let's face it. She has a mom with her OWN Fairy Godmother costume. The poor kid probably didn't stand a chance! :lmao:

I love it! You are AWESOME, Janet! I feel so fortunate to know you and share a love of Disney with you! You and Katie ROCK! :cool1:

Would I love to have a day to myself to photograph Epcot? Sure. But not when I have a chance to enjoy it with Katie.

We left the park around 8:45 and got back to the POP around 9:15. I knew that the following night we would be packing up for good, so I spent a few minutes organizing and putting away costumes we were done with. Then it was off to sleep so we could be up and out in time for early entry at Animal Kingdom the next day.

I have spent the last couple of hours catching up! It's wonderful, Janet. I am reading a good trip report when I get tears in my eyes at the thought of you "packing up" to return home.

Ok I think I am finally caught up! Let me tell you, a new job and two vacations withing 2 weeks of each other will keep you out of the loop for a loooooong time!! I am glad to hear you had a good vacation! This weather has been wierd this summer! So you are going back in December? Sounds like fun!

I was at Target the other day and a car parked next to me, the license plate was "Disney". I started to wonder if this person is on the boards? :lmao:

Thanks Amy! Nice to see you surface again. :goodvibes

Tell Evie Katie and I say Happy Birthday! party:

How awesome that you get all this time now to anticipate and prepare for your own trip.

Be sure to let us know if you have questions with camera shopping. I'm always more than happy to help other people buy new gadgets, especially cameras. :thumbsup2

I mostly finished Snow White and Katie and I both love it. I was amazed at how quickly she went together. Of course, I've been sewing it in my mind for some time. Seriously. When I see something like that I want to try, I spend some time plotting in my mind how I can make it work. It's really fun when I finally get all the supplies together and get the time and can see if it works in real life! When I get a chance I'll snap a photo. Of course, I still have to do the cape, but don't have the fabric yet so it will have to wait. I just hope I left enough room for growth this year. I did get smart enough not to hem it yet.

I've also been looking for fabric to do a new Anastasia. Since Kate vetoed the idea of wearing a Prince Charming costume, we're going to have to star over at 1900 Park Fare! :lmao: I want to do Anastasia in an authentic reproduction similar to Drizella from last year.

We have a couple others up our sleeves, but not nearly as much as last year.

I love it! You are AWESOME, Janet! I feel so fortunate to know you and share a love of Disney with you! You and Katie ROCK! :cool1:

You call it awesome, my husband and boys call it odd.......... I'll go with your assessment! :lmao:

Awwwwwww.......... what a sweetie you are. I'm so glad you're along!

Hi Steph! Glad you're all caught up! I do think there are a number of Dis'ers here in KC, so it wouldn't surprise me!

I do think we went straight from winter to summer here. It hit 90 plus WAY too early. Although it was quite awesome to drive out of it and up into the mountains. What a welcome relief that was!

I think you live north, so maybe you didn't get the storms we did last night, but man.... that was pretty intense. My parents live in south KC, and they had HUGE branches and limbs down all over their yard.

I guess now that winter Snow White is done, I'm pretty committed to the December trip. But I just hesitate to put in the ticker until I buy the plane tickets. I was thinking of doing that soon, but with the economy tanking again and oil prices finally coming down, I'm wondering if I should wait and see if the air comes down any. Right now it's at $144 each way......... quite a bit different from when we went fall 09 and got a $59 rate each way. Now THAT was a deal!

!

And PLEASE........... don't mention that show. It SCARES me........:scared1:

That show makes me want to gag! I even catch it by accident I want to clean and clean. There is a hoarder house close by where the kids go to school and it's awful. The city is making her clean it, and the RV that she was filling is now gone but that is just the tip of the iceburg!:scared1:

I can't wait to see Katie in the winter Snow White, it's going to look amazing!

Oh that Snow White dress is going to be fabulous!!!! Can't wait to see it!

Aww... thanks! I'm just happy that Katie is so enthusiastic about it!

Here it is!

Ewwwww....... an RV full of stuff? Maybe I need to watch that show or drive by that house near you. I'd probably feel a lot better about my own house! :rotfl2:

We definitely got hit with the storm last night. The hail lasted forever!! And naturally my car sustained the most damage, I will be having my windshield replaced Wednesday :headache:

Was that last night, or the night before???? We've gotten hit two nights in a row now. I'm so over all this spring weather. Might as well move on to summer since I think it's over 90 today anyway.....

Sorry about your windshield. What a pain!
