I totally have mixed feelings about FP+. I think we will be better off just doing the paper FPs but who knows???

Just going to check on where the YC secret entrance is. I know the BC one! LOL. Still can't believe my wait is in the 20s. I had planned our last trip almost a year in advance so my ticker went very very very slowly...

More YC hints learned here that came in handy:

On check out day, we sent luggage with Airline Check In service and put carry-ons with Bell Services. We then spent the AM at AK.

Returned to YC and Bell Services let us access our bags we stored with them; they took us to the storage room and we swapped our park stuff for our swim stuff.

Changed in the locker rooms of the Fitness Club. How handy! Stored our stuff in lockers in locker room (hint: directions for locker keyboards are in entry, not in locker area).

After swimming and sunning, we showered in locker rooms of Fitness Club. Ladies, they even have shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, razors, lotion and a hair dryer for you to use! It was nice to be squeaky clean for the Magical Depress.

Refrigerator news: we did not have a fridge in our room...just the empty cabinet. We saw fridges being delivered and removed from rooms all week. Not sure if this was the initial removals and delivery of new ones or just the switching of fridges to meet requests.

I just saw that you're from NC! We go to Wrightsville Beach. It's a big family reunion place for us, so we've been several times since I was younger. We love it there, as long as we never, ever step foot off the beach -- otherwise it's too hot!! I don't know how you do it!

We did our FP+ requests today...so far, not too thrilled. Not thrilled that you select everyone that you're doing fast passes for up front (all of us want to do 1 ride together, but 2 of us would rather skip another...but we risk not having a FP time together)...the times seem kind of crazy, and it is not at all synced with dining reservation times (our "best choice" at AK had 2 of our 3 FP's smack in the middle of Lunch at Sanaa...)

You can change the time or even the ride. I've found that most middle of the day times are missing, but early and late times seem to open for all of the rides. I did spend quite a bit of time playing around with the times to get what I felt would be a good fit. I've got some doubts about the system too, but I'm trying not to be too critical until I've tried it -- especially since I'm the designated fast pass runner for the family. I'm hoping this saves me a few miles!

"Dog with a Blog" has actually grown on me now. Our personal favorite is still "Good Luck Charlie" I want to be in that family... Sometimes DH and I find ourselves watching it when even the kids aren't in to room...

LOL. We like "Good Luck Charlie" in our house too. My girls just discovered it on Netflix, so we are watching it from the start. "Dog with a Blog" is OK, but "Hey Jessie" is not on in our house.

I did this once. Went by to check on grandson in SAB. He was by himself swimming so me being the cool grandpa that I am I just took out my wallet, took off my shirt and shoes and jumped right in. You should have seen the look DW gave when I got back to the room with soaked shorts on! (Still a cool grandpa though )

Thanks for taking us along DIS-OH. The thing I always say about incidents like the one at the airport....We'll sure remember this one won't we!

It was awful!!! An hour plus wait. Estimated time was 40 minutes but then a tour group came in with fast passes. It was super hot and Ben was having trouble dealing with it. Plus being anxious for his first ride on this.

Unfortunately, this was karma getting me back big time for a sneaky move I pulled at Toy Story, but that story won't come out until the last day of my trip report!

The rest of our time at HS this morning was not great, but we had an AWESOME lunch at Captain's Grille and I had another dip in SAB to end the trip.

Lol. We have definitely done some nice hopping across the sand. We love Wrightsville but normally go to a beach called Emerald Isle which is north of it.

Oh don't worry. The bus curse crosses all resorts and theme parks. Not resort specific. I think the buses showing up for Dee on time all the time is part of the curse. They know she'll come tell me so it just makes it worse.

Oh and that NM plan. Been there done that. Walked right out in front of a bus. It didn't stop for me either......Man did that hurt.

Had a 15 minute wait for an MK bus last night at 5:30 pm. 15 minutes to the park, so 30 minutes total. Not bad, really, but since we almost always get a bus within 5 minutes, it seemed long to me.

Walked to Contemporary and took a cab back after Wishes- $21 plus tip. Seemed high to me but worth every penny.

Hi everyone!!! We checked into Beach Club today! The off property portion of our trip was fun, but we were all really looking forward to BC all week long.

We were able to check right in at about 1:00, even though we didn't do online checkin. We have both the daybed AND the full balcony we requested, which works out beautifully! We are overlooking a quiet pool. Hoping to get to meet Teena tomorrow!

For those who were asking about fridges earlier, we do have a working fridge.

We had an ADR at 1900 Park Fare this evening (yum!) and then made our way back here to poke around and get settled. I managed to do 2 loads of laundry, despite 3 of the 4 washing machines being out of order.

We all agree that BC is gorgeous, and are really glad we took my friend's recommendation to stay here!

We'll be spending the majority of tomorrow at SAB. Gotta go get some rest, but I wanted to pop in and say hey and thanks for all the info I've gotten from you guys!!!

Simba's Girl, I'm sorry to learn about your pet. When we returned from our WDW trip in 2010, we had to put down our 19 yo cat. The kids were absolutely distraught. I had that cat even before I met my husband, and it was a really hard loss. I will keep your family in my thoughts.

Finally made it home..return flight last night from MCO was delayed as the downpour wrecked havoc with the flight schedules. I think my suitcase was outside, too, as it was soaking wet when we got back to Columbus.

Had a great stay at YC...thanks for all the tips/hints. Used the YC secret entrance exclusively, drank a Sunken Treasure, ate at Captain's Grille, had apps at Ale & Compass (rock shrimp was awesome), had lunch on bar side of Hurricane Hanna's, lounged at SAB and lunched at Beaches & Cream.

Rained some every day (uck). Took Keys to the Kingdom tour with Claire as our guide...it was so fun, especially the trip down to the Utilidors!

During lunch at bar side of HH's, I was sure Buzzy joined us...he even settled down on our bill folio...I was sure that was a sign he was going to pick up the tab, but he flew off without leaving his credit card.

It was depressing to leave, but felt better knowing Airtran will be paying for our flights for our next two trips. (trust me, they owe me after a 7 hour delay on the way down...Port Columbus is a very boring airport to be stuck in!)

Sorry about the tab. I'd carry around a wallet but it makes me fly cockeyed and I tend to fly into stuff. Besides, Mrs. Buzzy has me on a strict budget and all my discretionary income goes toward my maraschino cherry habit at Hurricane Hannah's.

We had a bear in our yard today. Go figure

Not that rare but always a bit of a surprise....

Was it a Gummy Bear? I like Gummy Bears! Hopefully it wasn't a Teddie Graham.... the older kids make fun of you if your Mom is still putting them in your lunch.
