Had a great stay at YC...thanks for all the tips/hints. Used the YC secret entrance exclusively, drank a Sunken Treasure, ate at Captain's Grille, had apps at Ale & Compass (rock shrimp was awesome), had lunch on bar side of Hurricane Hanna's, lounged at SAB and lunched at Beaches & Cream.

Thanks for the trip report. This would be our idea of a perfect way to enjoy our trip, too, except substitute BC. :goodvibes

Teena, when we all come in December do you think my chance are good to have all 4 of our rooms near each other? My oldest 2 want to take turns giving each other a date nite. It would be a help if their rooms were connecting or at least very near each other.

Our reservations are all connected so maybe that will help!

Having them connected helps. Hopefully they will all be near each other but its a long shot to have them all next to each other ... especially if you have lots of requests like large balcony and daybed, etc.

We found bear scat in our back yard yesterday, the flies here seem to be loving it

Just sayin.......

We had a bear in our yard today. Go figure

Not that rare but always a bit of a surprise....

Oh my gosh! I just arrived home from the Undiscovered FutureWorld Tour. I LOVED IT! It's a must do for any WDW fan. There were so many tidbits of info I learned! We saw the VIP lounges in the Seas and Mission:Space pavilions, saw the costuming department and where they fix the costumes and even saw Ariel and Cindy doing their makeup! We rode Soarin' with no wait and learned some rumors about the future of the ride. If either rumor comes true, it would be awesome! The tour was long....4.5 hours with a 15 minute break at Sunshine Seasons. But I would definitely recommend it!

So happy to read this review as we have this tour booked for our Sept. trip :)

Finally made it home..return flight last night from MCO was delayed as the downpour wrecked havoc with the flight schedules. I think my suitcase was outside, too, as it was soaking wet when we got back to Columbus.

Rained some every day (uck). Took Keys to the Kingdom tour with Claire as our guide...it was so fun, especially the trip down to the Utilidors!

During lunch at bar side of HH's, I was sure Buzzy joined us...he even settled down on our bill folio...I was sure that was a sign he was going to pick up the tab, but he flew off without leaving his credit card.

It was depressing to leave, but felt better knowing Airtran will be paying for our flights for our next two trips. (trust me, they owe me after a 7 hour delay on the way down...Port Columbus is a very boring airport to be stuck in!)

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip!! Very bad of Buzzy not to pick up the bill!

The reason its a standard view is you also have a view of a roof.
Guess not all roof views are terrible! This roof is not very intrusive like some of them I've seen! In pics.

Boy that bear sure gets around :rotfl: I'm on the west coast outside of Vancouver. We get lots of black bears here.

I just woke up to an email that stated that our MBs were on their way via UPS!!!! If this is indeed a "test" and MBs are meant to be re-usaeable then it is interesting that we are getting two sets for our "continuing" reservation (2 nights had to be reserved separately to get separate discounts). I suppose that is what "tests" are for....

We are putting our close to 20 year old cat to sleep this afternoon. :sad1: Our girls don't know yet and the 13 year old will be devastated.

That is the BEST!!! Safe journey home Dee...

So sorry. It's the hardest thing to do.

We did our FP+ requests today...so far, not too thrilled. Not thrilled that you select everyone that you're doing fast passes for up front (all of us want to do 1 ride together, but 2 of us would rather skip another...but we risk not having a FP time together)...the times seem kind of crazy, and it is not at all synced with dining reservation times (our "best choice" at AK had 2 of our 3 FP's smack in the middle of Lunch at Sanaa...)

I know how you are feeling and you are not alone. Just remember, you don't have to use FP+.

Well I can see two big things that need to be changed before they roll it out. Everyone should be able to pick what fp they want. And the times should be flexible to allow for people to make their ADRs.

Anyone ever taken a cab from YC/BC to Seaworld and back? Are they pretty easy to arrange?

One of our days will be over in that other, wetter World

My info is two years old, but here goes:

In March 2011, I took a cab to Sea World. There were no cabs in front of the Beach Club, but the person at the bellstand there called one for me. Cab came at 8:30. Fifteen minute ride. Cost was $23.65 (plus tip).

When you're done at Sea World, after you go out the exit, you go to the right and there are cabs waiting. Cab fare back to the Beach Club was $23 plus tip.

Unsolicited advice: If you get your picture taken near the front of the park, and decide to buy the picture, your receipt entitles you to 20% off your next purchase of $25 or more at any Merchandise Shop or Culinary Facility, day of visit only. But most people probably buy their picture on the way out of the park and the discount is useless because they're done eating and shopping. So if you plan to buy the picture, do it before you spend money in a gift shop or for a meal.

You can go in after and change your times from the ones it initially gives you and many more will come up. Most will give you every hour listed. You may need to play around with one to open the time slot, it won't give you a time slot you already have a FP scheduled for.

Thanks for this info. Kids are looking forward to Seaworld

Thank you. I don't have any other requests. I always feel like I shouldn't put any requests in since I am traveling on a cast discount. I know it probably shouldn't matter, but I really don't do it. If the kids aren't near each other we will work it out. I have offered to watch the little ones for them, but because we are going for my birthday my kids said I should just enjoy my vacation.

Just wanted to thank everyone for feeding the Yacht and Beach Club bug. DH and I stayed BCV for our wedding last year.
So excited to try out YC CL in 30 days! It's just for a couple nights but, since we're locals now, I think we'll be spending most of the time just enjoying the resort. (read: enjoying the pool and CL!!) Epcot and DHS have EMH both nights so, that's probably when we'll head out.
Really hoping that DH enjoys CL because I would love to make this a habit. ;)

:welcome: Welcome to the family FloridaDreaming. If you want to give us your dates Dee will add to BOG List on page 1:welcome:

I wish it did!! In fact I mentioned to the family, "who needs suits, lets just jump right in!"

I did this once. Went by to check on grandson in SAB. He was by himself swimming so me being the cool grandpa that I am I just took out my wallet, took off my shirt and shoes and jumped right in. You should have seen the look DW gave when I got back to the room with soaked shorts on! (Still a cool grandpa though :cool2: )

Thanks for taking us along DIS-OH. The thing I always say about incidents like the one at the airport....We'll sure remember this one won't we!
