Please don't miss this easily overlooked but utterly hilarious show. We (11-year old girl and middle-aged mom) went in mainly to get out of the rain, with no expectations, and were so pleasantly surprised. We laughed till we cried! And it's a nice theater just for sitting down and resting those tired legs for a while. It could scare little ones, though. I'd say no one under 5 or 6. And utterly perfect for boys in that 8 or 9 year old category who love blood and gore. An audience volunteer (well, more a draftee) is a key element of the show, so I imagine the effect varies with the person chosen. Ours was this very conservative looking mid-western lady of a certain age--kind of a classic schoolmarm type--who turned out to be an excellent sport and whose reactions rocked the house.

I agree! This is a hilarious show!

I waited till Michael was about 9 to venture in. We sat right up front and, as usual, Michael was picked on the whole show!

Wait, wait, don't tell me! The draftee from the audience was a Japanese tourist.

Was I right?

Nope, she was a homegrown Midwesterner, just verging on being considered "elderly"! She seemed very prim, and a bit fragile for the goings-on, but she had a twinkle in her eye and handled all with great grace! Actually, I don't remember seeing any Asian tourists to speak of. Maybe they were scared off from US travel plans with he war looming?

I've seen Japanese, Columbian, and all-American women picked. If you want to get a female member of your party picked, have her sit in the aisle seats in the middle of the theater. She may be targeted to be picked! :)

I also laughed until I cried! Very funny. The first screaming guy ended up almost in my 15yo daughter's lap and she was very embarrassed (and of course I thought that was VERY funny), he called me up to help him and I didn't get close to him because of what he wanted from me (lol), and they made some comment about my 3yo standing up and turning his back to them. The "volunteer" was so good I really think she was a plant. All in all a funny show that I consider a "must-see". We ranged in age from 3-60yo and all liked it (well, my 3yo played with pennies the whole time and didn't know that they were making fun of him...) :)

The "Alex Ross" with the British accent tends to try to find an Asian woman to volunteer. But, the other hosts seem to mix it up a bit more.

Tigger&Belle, they are actually not plants.

I'm impressed that the "volunteers" are not plants. The lady that they picked when we were there was so good and funny that I was really suspicious. I will repeat this show the next visit--very worth our time!

I would also make this a 'must see', although we found some of the humour a bit 'adult' for a family audience - maybe it's just that we're British!

We have seen the show twice, and the host was the same guy each time, even though our visits were 2 years apart.

I am sure that the 'volunteers' are not plants. The first time we were there, they picked out a Japanses tourist - but the second time (a month ago) they picked out an English lady. She was a very good sport too - and totally genuine!
