For Nassau, is the dolphin encounter in the Blue Lagoon $125 and the swim is over $400? Is the encounter worth the money, like do you get to get in with the dolphins? I am not really clear on what all it entails. Thank you!
The $400 price didn't sound right to me, so I checked DCL's site. They list the cost of the encounter for adults as $125 and the cost of the swim for adults as $199. I'm not saying that's cheap, but it's certainly better than $400! My DH and DD (8 at the time) did the dolphin swim at Blue Lagoon when we were on the Dream in Feb 2012. They had an absolutely amazing experience. I went along as an observer and get lots of great photos. Here is a link to BL's web site where you can get more info:

DH and DD spent lots of time in the water interacting with the dolphins. The highlights were dancing with them and, of course, the foot push at the end. I wasn't sure my DD would go through with it, but she did. We ended up buying the video, and at the end of the foot push you can hear her say "That was AWESOME!" It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience that she will never forget.
Hi! This is my first post! We just went on the Disney Dream this past weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. We ended up doing the Dolphin Encounter. It was like $120 per person. You meet up in the D Lounge, and the people from the Blue Lagoon take you on a boat to their really nice private little Island. There you get a small talk about dolphins, and they explain the rules a bit. You then go over to the pools where the dolphin encounter takes place. You go waste deep in the water you get to interact with a dolphin. They let you give the dolphin a kiss on the beak. The dolphin will come up onto your shoulder and give you a hug. you get to feed the dolphin a piece of fish. run the dolphin on it's back, belly, teeth, and tongue. and you even grab the dolphin's fins and he'll dance with you a little bit.
The only difference between the swim and the encounter was that in addition to everything I just explained you get to do a swim which is where the dolphin will push you across the water while you're swimming...also the swim is in much deeper water and you wear life jackets.
All in all, I am really glad I did the encounter. it was really awesome. I brought a waterproof camera and got really awesome shots.
if you can catch the early excursion, then you can spend the rest of the day hanging out on the beach on the blue lagoon island which was really nice. they have ferries going back to the boats throughout the day, the last one leave at about 4:00pm.
Yes, they had absolutely no problem with me taking my camera in. Many other folks had waterproof cameras too. Of course they have you pose for their camera too and try to sell you photos and dvds after you're done. We did end up buying one picture, but I must have snapped 20 or so pictures myself.
