Doing land/sea, but not in a package.

I'm sorry, I seem to have a million questions!!

We are staying at AKV, as DVC members two nights prior to our cruise. We are using our own transportation to the Port.

I gather that I will check us into the ship online before we leave home? How far in advance will I be able to complete all the forms online?

Is there a need for us to check in at the DCL desk at Animal Kingdom, if I am not on the "land/sea" package?

Also, after the cruise, we are returning to POR for 4 nights. Is it possible to have some luggage held at POR for us when we return, so we don't need to bring so much on the ship? If that is possible, would you do that?

The online cruise documents are available 90 days out from your cruise date (unless you are REAS or Cat 1-3, then it is 105 days).

As for checking into the cruise, you still have to do that at the port, but if you fill out the documents on line you will speed up the process quite dramatically.

They have to snap your photo for the KTTW card during that time

As to your other questions...I'll have to leave those up to the other DIS'rs...I have no knowledge to share there.
