Doing a nice thing?

It was a very nice thing for you to do. But I probably would not have done it. It's been my experience, people today, are more likely to jump to a negative conclusion if they saw you moving it. Just not worth the trouble or a confrontation when trying to do the right thing. It's sad really.

I completely agree.

I agree with this, sadly. I think it was a very nice thing for you to do OP, and I would want to do the same but not sure I would.

Sadly, its 2016 and times have changed.

I always err on the side of doing the 'right thing' honestly and would have done the same regardless of the repercussions.

I see a kid having a bad day and in turn giving the parents a bad day in Disney and often think to grab the kid a mickey balloon or something. In today's day and age, I'm afraid to do so and look creepy by giving a strange kid a balloon and offending the parents.

Sadly, its the world we live in and we have to have threads about stuff like this just because we have the right intentions and mean 0 harm.

Well, I couldn't help thinking how I'd feel if that had been my stroller. I have little ones who weren't on this particular trip with DW and I (second honeymoon), and I know I'd have been disappointed with myself for not thinking that it might rain and leaving the stroller uncovered. I'd be scrambling for a way to have DS in stroller without having the associated wet bottom because dad wasn't thinking/planning. Felt like I would have appreciated someone doing a nice thing for us, and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Might there be repercussions? Sure, but I'm willing to face those because there was no malice in my actions. I won't live my life afraid that doing something nice or right or good might offend someone. If they're offended by kindness, they're vacationing in the wrong place!
