Does waitlist show up on dvc members page?

If you are on a waitlist, does it show up on your dvc/members vacation page? I though it did last year when we were waitlisted, but I don't see the one I'm on now. I hope that doesn't mean they didn't do it right.

My waitlists haven't shown for the upcoming trip. It does, however, show when it comes through. We were waitlisted for a boardwalk view for the 2 br, and when it came through the reservation listed changed from a preferred to a bw view. Hope this helped.

I have one now for AKV that I am watching weekly, it does not show. I just keep a watch on the reservation that I do have to see if it changes. I wish there was a place for waitlists.

Do you have to specifically cancel waitlists? I had one for an October trip for a VWL studio with a SSR studio but ended up getting a 1-BR SSR. Should I make certain the VWL waitlist request is cancelled? This was my first waitlist so I'm new to this whole process.

Yes, you have to call and cancel it. MS can automatically fill it and deduct the points out of your account, even if they have to borrow them.

If only...

I've had so many instances of calling and putting myself on a waitlist, and then calling back weeks or months later only to find out that the MS CM who took my call the first time didn't put me on the right waitlist. *sigh*

They seem to have an especially hard time with views. Like, I request a standard view waitlist, and end up on a preferred view waitlist. Grrr, makes me so frustrated.
