If this is posted in the wrong place please feel free to move it!

With the new dining offer thru december I'm going to be going down with a friend. I am trying to figure out what would in the long run be better and I need some advice...
Orgianlly we were just going to do quick service but I really would love to eat at Le Cellier, Kona Cafe and Ohanas (we are staying at Pop) I priced it out to up grade to reg. dining and its only 80 dollars more but then the refillable mugs and additional snack (with the quick service are a huge bonus) so I thought maybe I would check out the deluxe dining plan and if my math is correct...

Quick service = $1013
Reg dining = $1093
Deluxe dining = $ 1349 ( dining would cost $336 for 2 people)

so i should be able to get deluxe dining for the price of what quick service plan would typically cost for 2 people for 4 nights

is there any logic to my math? does it make sense? am i dumb to think about upgrading for the additional money? HELP!

My friend I am going with is really no help shes a total go with the flow kinda person and is all "eh whatever" and I am a huge obessive complusive disney planner so the planning with her is driving me crazy! but i love her anyways...

TIA!!!!!!
Jill

I'm a bit confused by your math.

From what I understand quick service is free in Dec at the POP and you can each pay $10 per day to upgrade.

yeah quick service is free at the pop but you can up grade the package.. So this is what I figure...:

For the deluxe plan it is $1349... and for the the free quick service plan it is $1013.. we had plans to eat at Le Cellier, Ohana's, Kona Cafe, and Crystal Palace and so we looked at the menu and priced it out and come up with that it would be cheaper to upgrade to the regular dining plan but I really liked the 2 snack credits a day and the refillable mug so i did some basic math and came up with that it would be cheaper to up grade to the deluxe plan so we can use the meal credits how ever we want to.

I'm not sure that I follow your thinking. Here's what I figure....

The QSDP is free....
to upgrade to regDP $80
to upgrade to DxDP $336

Since you only want to eat at 4 TS places get the reg.DP for $80 and then add a resort mug $13 each. That brings your cost to $106.

There is a big price difference between reg and DX. The regDP is a lot of food and I doubt that you would miss having that extra snack per day. The DxDP is a ton more food. Also, to make use of all those credits you will be spending an awful lot of time in restaurants. Which means you are not in the parks enjoying them. You should plan on each meal being 90-120 minutes.

I just realized you didn't say how many nights you are staying. I am guessing that it's 4 based on your calculation of $80 to upgrade from QSDP to regDP.

If that's the case it still doesn't change my response. You want to eat at 4 TS places and the regDP will allow for that.
