My immediate supervisor is driving me crazy. I turn in my lesson plans for her review each week, fine, no problem I would have to turn them in to someone. I get them back written all over with corrections.
She comes and observes my class. Great, fine someone has to observe. Then I get questioned on everything and told I am doing things incorrectly.
Now why does this give me a headache? Because this women that is my supervisor is not a teacher. She has an AA degree in business. She doesn't attend any of the workshops the teachers do and has no idea how to implement the curriculum. Why should I have to take direction from her????? It drives my co-teachers and I nuts!!! Earlier in the year we had another person doing this job. She had 25 years of experience and a Ph.D. I valued and respected her opinion and observations, even her criticisms. They fired her. Now I spend my days defending my lesson plans and actions in the classroom. It's just getting old.
