Does SSR do anything special on the 4th of July????!!!!!!!!!!!

There are fireworks @ DTD that night, should have a super view.

Yes, they are planning a full day celebration at SSR this year. The recreation staff will have themed activities all day and then a pool party in Congress Park at night. Fireworks are around 11pm.

We attended last year and had a great time! Im here now and will miss the party this year.

We enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and being able to see the fireworks up close without the crowds.

I think it would be nice to meet some other DISers. It may be easiest to try to meet up along the waterfront for the fireworks? I am a little hesitant to make any promises though. I never know when my youngest might go into "melt down" mode and force a change of plans!

We will be arriving with our little group ON the fourth in the late AM (cruisin' on the 6th ! No promises, but if there is a meeting spot and time arranged ,we will try to make it (but as a previous poster stated- hard to commit especially since we will be just arriving that day!)

DW and I will be there from 6/28-7/5 if someone calls a meeting place we too will try to be there! We ALWAYS spend the day at EPCOT on the 4th we have a split stay this year, will be in SSR on 7/3 and 7/4 tho....
