Does it cost money to add a name to DVC deed?

Hi,
My mom comes on every trip....so much so she insisted on paying the dues this year and is getting it taken out of her checking account.

I would like to get her the Annual pass discount....possible 3 trips in a calendar year for us.

Is it a pain to add her to my deed??? How much does it cost? Also.....If it is painless....could I have this done by April? (our next trip).

You'd have to add her name to the deed. See the thread below about retitling the deed. It would be possible to get her the discount if she lives with a member without being on the deed. Just let her move in with you, LOL.

It's not difficult, likely just something different than you're accustomed to. The process is simple but does take a little time, maybe 3 months or so. You could likely get it done in time if you started the process now, went ahead and prepared the deed, kept an eye on the Orange County website (assuming WDW) for the form to be recorded, print out the recorded from rather than waiting for the original to get back and sent it all back in at that point. Here's the specifics.

1. Contact DVC to get the right and current forms
2. Complete the request to "transfer" form.
3. Get the ROFR from DVC
4. Prepare a deed
5. Record the ROFR and deed.
6. Send a copy of the recorded deed to DVC along with the completed appropriate from which they will send in with the ROFR.
