Does Beast Still Greet at BOG Dinner

I remember reading not long after BOG opened that Beast greeted guests there as they left after dinner. Is that still the case? Also, when you book BOG for dinner, can you request which room you'd like to be seated in? I'll be able to do ADRs in a week, and was wondering if anyone's seen Beast there lately.

Thank you!

My husband and I had dinner there last week and the beast came out, he does a walk through the main dining room periodically and I think does pictures after that (we haven't done the pictures so I'm not 100% sure how that works). I've not been able to request the room, have always been seated in the main dining room.

Beast is announced as your host about once an hour, does a walkthrough, then meets guest in the library.

You are encouraged to wait until after your meal to meet him. But no one will stop you if someone takes a child to meet him after you order, depending on what is best timing for you. Just be courteous to your servers and timing of the meal.

We just ate there last week and were informed you had to pay and take your receipt after paying to the library to then meet the Beast. We were asked once we got there to confirm we were all done eating and would be exiting after meeting the Beast

As it should be. No sense in possibly tying up a table due to waiting in line to meet the beast, when it can easily be done when your meal is finished..

Yep you meet Beast for photos after eating (they do not let you go meet him early except possibly close to nightly closing)

You cannot request a dining room when you are making the reservation. When you check in at the restaurant you can request a specific room, but there is no guarantee that you'll get your request.

Last time we went to Be Our Guest our daughter really wanted to sit in the West Wing. She has said this again for our upcoming September reservation. They were attempting to seat us in the main ballroom. I asked if we could be seated in the West Wing they said yes but we would have to wait a few minutes. I don't think it was more than 5 or 10 mins to be seated as requested.

I think what they are trying to do with the Beast is avoid having guests book to walk in, get their photo with the big guy and then leave without ordering anything. That's why they ask for the receipt.

Dined there 4 times , lunches and dinners , no Beast to be found .
The Beast is only there at dinnertime. He walks through the dining room quickly, but doesn't visit any tables. Then you have to go to the Library after dinner for a photo op with him. Perhaps he was indisposed and unable to appear when you were there, but that is extremely rare.

I'm sure there are times he's unable to appear, that can happen with any character at a meal or just in a park. We've had dinner here 5x and Beast was always present :)
