Does Anyone Remember Dreamflight??

The birds, (I recall them as being gulls, but it was a long time ago) turned into airplanes, didn't they?
Gulls! You're right, and i think they did morph into planes. I'll watch for that effect next trip.

??
He said: "And some rocket to the moon thing." That sounds like a dead-on reference to Flight to the Moon.

No ...
Jeez, people! I know this is the internet, where pointless arguments must be had, but does it really matter if he remembered Flight to the Moon (which became Mission to Mars in 1975) or Mission to Mars? I imagine the rides were pretty similar (I have only experienced MtM).

I declare you're both right, and you each get 5,000 meaningless internet points.

Thanks. But let him have all 10,000 points. I appreciate the thought though.

I definitely rode If You Had Wings, Dreamflight, Flight to the Moon, and Mission to Mars, but don't remember a damn thing about any of them.

If You Had Wings was my mother's favorite attraction. She still talks about it. She had, up until long after it closed, never flown, and she always said it made her feel like she was flying. Of course, the effects were nothing to talk about, but that's just Disney magic for you!

"If you had wings, had wings, had wings!"

We went to WDW for the first time in 1984 with my late in-laws. My MIL didn't like "fast or high" rides. We got on "If You had Wings" and she was fussing (probably pretty loudly) that we had tricked her and that we were going fast and high. We kept trying to point out to her that we were barely moving and still on the ground, but she didn't believe us because she wouldn't look! DH & I have laughed about that for years.
