It's 46 degrees here and raining hard but our coordinator decided not to cancel today's games! I think we are going to end up with a really muddy bunch of 9 year old girls!

The problem with decisions like this is that is can ruin your fields. Cancelled here....have some hot chocolate and a hot shower ready Alex.

but today she is out in the wilderness big game hunting in the rain.....
make sure they dont' fall in the mud puddles and get yucky

We have a spare set of fields we can switch to if we need them... so... this should be interesting!

Just got the call that DD's game has been cancelled. This fall DS has had many games cancelled because the fields his level plays on has poor drainage. It's frustrating because this is a brand new soccer complex. You'd think they would have designed the drainage better.

Sorry you have to be out in the mess......right now DS is out dropping off bags for the Scouting for Food drive.

Geez! It is soccer, not the World Series!! It seems inconsiderate of the coordinator to send those poor kids out into this mess of a day. I know it is pouring out here and very chilly too. Seems like asking for the kids to catch colds and/or flu by continuing the game today. Good luck to you and Alison! Hope you at least win today! :)

Two games today and one tomorrow. Since it has rained the last 3 or 4 Fridays, we have grown to love mud soccer!

DS as a goalkeeper gets to play in the puddle in front of the goal. He enjoys it but DW doesn't, lol. He has a tournament tomorrow so I assume he'll look pretty messy.

My DS is also goalie.......what a great description!!!!!

Well, my kids played soccer for a total of 20 years......and never had a game cancelled for rain.......it always goes on.

The boys loved the mud. They would even go belly sliding through the muddy puddle in front of the goals.......after the game (our cars were prepared ;)...........and some even before the game.

No games for us today! We had sleet and freezing rain. So we play tomorrow and make up today on Monday!

Today was supposed to be the town's "cup" tournament, but all games were canceled because of the rain. Two years ago, they had it in the snow and sleet! Glad it was canceled, because I would have been at up to 7 games today, with my 3 kids. Unfortunately, they'll have to make them up tomorrow and next Saturday, and next weekend indoor soccer starts!

Columbus Day weekend, my DS played in a tournament in NH in the rain...yuk! ADVISE...bring towels in the car!

Thats awful its not cancelled. Luckily my DS is still too young for city league(he starts in the spring) and for now he does the Y league. On rainy days they have it inside in the gym....just the way I like it. ;)

Travis played many football games in mud but he never played soccer.

Good luck to your team :)

My younger DS (who is now 20 years old) was a goalie. He used to strip his goalie pants off in the garage and I would hose them off outside - I didn't want mud in my washer!

I really miss his games - mud & all!!
