Does anyone else get twisted and turned around while touring Epcot?

If doing "Beers around the World" I don't care if I am lost, twisted, or turned around. I could feel that way sitting still after a beer. :teeth:

I think the parks are pretty easy to navigate. I don't think I've gotten lost once...

I like to play the game "Drinking Around the World." I try to get more than just beer. Whatever the specialty of the country, that's what I get. Beers are definitely part of Norway, Germany, America, and the UK. Anyway, I usually get the CM who sells me the drink to write something fun in their own language in one of those Passports the kids use for Kidcot.

I haven't gotten lost in that wonderful circle yet. :thumbsup2

I've never had the slightest problem finding my way around at Epcot. But the Studios sure have caused me to backtrack on occasion. For several trips in the past I've had problems finding my way around in the Studios. (Especially in the Backlot/3-D show area.) Once, when I asked a CM for directions, she laughed and said not to feel bad, "folks get turned around here all the time." The map was of very little help, and when I told her that, she advised that it helps if you look at the map upsidedown.

Still didn't help. I wish someone would come up with a meaningful map of the Studios.

Enjoy.

I've never gotten lost at MGM, it's one of my favorite parks and I find it very easy to navigate. Of course, now that I've said that, it is with absolute certainty that I can say I will get hopelessly lost at MGM next time.

Epcot is not too difficult unless you try a shortcut... I always find a dead end.

MGM is not too bad only because it is not that big of a park.

At MK the only place I have a problem with is when exiting PotC... I am never sure where I come out. I just walk like I know where I am going until I recognize where I am. This is the only ride that does this to me.

AK I have not been to enough times to really know the layout but I can find my way without too much difficulty.

Once while in the world Showcase I complained to a CM that the map of Epcot was confusing, that I couldn't find the Nine Dragons Restaurant. I said "According to the map, it should be right where we are standing."

She then proceeded to inform me that we were in Japan, not China.

Talk about feeling like a hillbilly.....

Me too! and I never usually have directional problems. FW and getting from FW to WS always mixes me up. WS not a problem at all.

I've only gone once, but AK gave both dh and I a heck of a time. By the time we found the meet and greet for Pooh my son had fallen asleep :confused3 We just couldn't get that park down.

Epcot was the easiest park for me to navigate. The hardest was MGM. Spent 1/2 hour looking for entrance to MuppetVision once.

I am severely directionally challenged. It runs in the family. One of my sisters actually got lost in my house one time. :rotfl:

We stay at the AS Sports and I swear this is true, the main reason is that I cannot get lost as it is at the end of the main road that runs through the property. :thumbsup2

Even as many times as we have been to DW I still get lost a lot. Just about the time I figure the parks out it is time to head home. :lmao:

How we cope with this dysfunction is that we view getting lost as an opportunity to see something that we might not have otherwise seen. Works for us!! :dance3:

Slightly Goofy

No...don't have that problem...I have been there so many times, I know lots of shortcuts and I know where everything is. It is big and overwhelming to some, so I can see how some would get lost.

I get twisted around in FW. But the place I REALLY get mixed up in is AK.

Didn't read the whole thread...but I can NEVER find my way out of that place! I always get lost!

heh, it's funny, but I'm one of the ones who gets lost in FW, but I have no problem at all in MGM, which is my least favorite park. :sunny:
