Does anyone actually like Biergarten?

I really wanted to try Biergarten on our next trip, but the responses in the threads that I have read lately have been quite negative. Any Biergarten lovers out there? If so, why?

And if not, I'm sure I will hear why too! ;)

Thanks!

Biergarten is a really FUN place. I celebrated my 21st birthday there and we had a good time. They put on a really fun performance. The food is also good, not great, but good. My only problem of the restaurant is that if you're a small party you're seated with other people. There's no small tables. My fiancee and I were by our selves and seated with a huge family so we felt really left out.

We went last trip and we LOVED it!!! We actually ate at the German pavillion twice on our trip and would have done it more if possible.

I like it. Maybe not a must-do for every trip, but I definitely think it's a lot of fun. You will have fun!!

We decided to eat there "on the fly" because we didn't want to leave the park to make our ADRs which were at another resort (yes we called to cancel!). I am a HUGE Oktoberfest fan, and was really looking forward to it. Our experience failed my expectations in 2 areas though - food quality and HORRIBLE service. The food was just not what I was expecting. I found myself lingering over the childrens area & thank goodness for the desserts. Our waiter was just awful. We sat down at 7 and were ready to leave by 8. We literally had to chase him down & wait another 30 minutes just to get our check. Then when he brings the check he brings over a brand new milkshake for my son who had requested one at the START of dinner. I asked for a to go cup from a different waiter. So - just to be on the safe side, get a waitRESS!!

My whole family loves the Biergarten...I'm wondering though what my German husband will think of it :) He did just tell me that he knows how to drink beer out of a boot, so I'm sure he'll like it too! It's a lot of fun!

Does anyone know if the pretzel bread is the same they serve in LeCellier? Is it in breadstick form? Or a loaf?

Nope, not the same thing. Very similar, but in a roll. I actually like them better at the Biergarten. :)

Excellent! I can't wait to try it. It looks like most people give a :thumbsup2 to Biergarten!

We are not particularly thrilled with the seating arrangments there, so I usually just stand by the door and listen to the polkas. We were invited in just to listen several times without eating!

our family loves biergarten, we love german food, lots of chicken and salads, also love the sausages, the breaded chicken is kinda like what i cook at home so even the fussy 2 yr old eats it, enjoy sharing table and meeting other people and we really love the oompah pah band especially the baby.

My Dh and DS loved it there, firstly we were celebrating a birthday so our waitress was very attentive. OUr waitress was lovely and feared DH would steal DS's birthday pin to get all that lovely attention. They loved the music and they are both very outgoing and loved sharing the table and chatting it up with everybody! Me I am not the daredevill of the pack and tend to be a bit more reserved.

So, onto the food give my boys a buffet and the place will lose money! They just loved going back and back and ....back again!

Me just like to one shot a buffet.

The music was fun and the show we went in the afternoon. They sang Happy Birthday in German and was surprised though not person got up to dance. I think DH would have gone up he is just up for anything that guy!

OK so that being said, had I gotten a full plate of that wonderful strudel I think I would be over the moon! I enjoy true German cuisine and felt this fell short of my experiences.

DH and DS would plant themsleves there for the day! Music food cute waitress they would need to be thrown out! Funny thing I was hoping for a more stern Helgaish waitress I thought DHs neck was going to snap!!! :rotfl:
You know I would have never guessed he loved Germany soo much !!!! :rotfl2:
