Ah, I got it, I thought the preferred view was the one I mentioned (ToT view)

That would be included in the Preferred booking category. So would the Village Green villas!

On this map, Preferred View would include the villas that look at the Croquet Court and the two pools, plus the Village Green. The four 1BR Village Green villas are at the corner, roughly where the letter Q is on the map.

Officially just Boardwalk Deli, Leaping Horse Libations (cast member refills) at Luna Park pool, and at Carousel Coffee, located in the lobby 6:30 AM - 3 PM (Coffee & Tea only). They also offer a variety of paid specialty coffees, and food options.

Any updates during or after your visit would be helpful.

What about soda? just the pool bar?

The Boardwalk Deli (self-service), and Leaping Horse Libations (cast member refills)..

It was actually reported HERE back on April 13th that they were checking bands at that time as well. Sounds like it’s ongoing, which is good news.

@mrsap I saw that report, and that sign looked very temporary last month. When I just saw @focusondisney's report today it was good news, and I hope it is a new permanent addition.

Looking for future updates or confirmations if it being an ongoing policy like SAB.

• Times: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• Parking: There is no Resort parking for this event. Members are strongly encouraged to use Walt Disney World Resort transportation.

Eligibility: Members eligible for Membership Extras with a Resort reservation at Walt Disney World Resort, plus 4 Guests (or the number of additional Guests on the reservation).

A valid Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card and photo ID are required at event check-in. The Member listed on the Digital Membership Card must be in attendance.

I have a cash stay at the BWV in late July (first time in a 1-bed villa at this resort) as I’m not an owner there. I’m still figuring out if using chat or a phone call is the best approach. When would be the best time frame to use MDE chat to make a room request? Is it like dining reservations, 60 days before, or much closer to the date of arrival?

I refer to call. You can make requests at any time!

I'll give a different recommendation - I prefer chat so that I don't have to wait on hold for a long time. Also, I would do it at least a couple of weeks prior to your trip as the assignment happens approximately a week prior (I read this somewhere; not sure what the actual timeline is).

Jellyrolls Gutted at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort​

Jellyrolls Dueling Piano Bar closed its doors on April 19, 2025, after nearly three decades entertaining guests along Crescent Lake. Walt Disney World has not announced a replacement for the space.
Now, new photos show that construction walls have been installed at the former Jellyrolls location, and the interior has been completely gutted down to the studs. The scope of the work makes clear that this is not simply cosmetic prep work.

According to Walt Disney World, refurbishment work will take place in select areas of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn beginning late November 2025 and continuing throughout 2026. The notice is vague, but our on-the-ground reporting reveals at least one project that’s likely included in that timeframe.

It is worth remembering the full picture of what has happened on the west side of the BoardWalk. Big River Grille shut down at the beginning of 2024, and Jellyrolls followed in April 2025, leaving a massive gap in the lineup on that end of the promenade.

Disney could really use more dining (and late dining) at the popular BoardWalk Resort, but Disney hasn’t announced any details of what could be next for this end of the boardwalk.

Of course, Walt Disney World is not in the business of spending the time and resources gutting and retrofitting venues without a plan in place. This level of demolition implies that Disney has either greenlit firm in-house concepts or signed third-party tenants to the space.

The installation of construction walls and the complete gutting of the Jellyrolls space suggest Disney is now actively moving to fill those gaps, even if no public announcement has been made.

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort Greeter Makes Rare Appearance Ahead of 30th Anniversary

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort has a cast member greeting guests ahead of the resort’s upcoming 30th anniversary. While this role isn’t new, it does seem pretty rare!



We spoke to Jeremy, who was welcoming guests to the resort. He has a unique red and green costume with a golden Boardwalk logo embroidered on the chest. Of all the stops we’ve made at the Boardwalk over the years, this is the first time we’ve seen a greeter so this feels like a rare treat for those who encounter them.
