Do you use ignore??

Yes. I have 2 posters on my ignore list who are ALWAYS "right" and who ALWAYS have to get in the last word .

Me too! (I wonder if they're the same two people ;) ). Mainly they're of the "always have to have the last word" variety.

I like it because I don't even have to look at what they have to say but if someone quotes them later it doesn't block out the message when quoted.

Lori, I love you!!!!
Hope it's not me :teeth:

I was actually wondering about that myself. I was thinking of using it on someone who is actually more annoying than me. :rotfl2:

I never have before, but I'm toying with it now.

I have a few leftovers from the 2004 election nastiness. Mostly, I rarely cross paths with them because I try hard not to read the political posts at this point. If I do, then they are so often quoted I may as well take them off of ignore.

There is one poster I put on ignore just to avoid her signature picture because it freaks me out. I don't want to turn off all signatures so the compromise was to put just her on ignore.

THere is someone I am tempted to place on ignore, but I keep reading her posts in a slow down and watch the accident on the freeway kind of way. ;)

I use it when a poster is getting on my nerves. I use it after I decide I can not ignore them any longer on my own. :wizard:

I have a lot of people on my list. I think most are now gone. A few are on there solely because they have so much in their siggy area.

Not on this board, the one know it all I can't take seems to not post in many of the threads I post in.
I do use it on another message board where the mods are a bunch of handwringers and can't ban or warn someone to save their lives.

For a while I had a mental "ignore" list.

I finally put someone on ignore when they started pm'ing me and I didn't want to talk to them.

I keep this person on ignore for this reason. I can skim over posts ok, but I don't like getting PM's from this person so ignore works well that way. (I hear they can't pm you. I don't know what happens if they try, but so far no pm's from this person so I guess it works. ) :thumbsup2

I believe they can still pm you but the pm will read as unread. Not sure if its true. We could test it if you want.

I've never put anyone on ignore...I generally can do fine on my own just skipping over the posts. But there is one individual where I'm getting sick and tired of the person always flaunting around what they have and then looking down on others because they aren't in the same position.

You are not my ingore, LOL :rotfl: :teeth:

Would you still get the PM? Or would it just be sent, but unread in the other persons box?

Please don't ignore me! It would crush my ego!

I use ignore. I only have one person on ignore now ... a teenager with a signature that I can't stand. I have had more people on ignore, but I took them off after I cooled down a bit ;).

I do have some on my "read quick, roll eyes, and move on" list.
Ditto! But there's one person that I'm thinking might get the ignore -- never comments on others posts, just makes quite a lot of new posts considering they only recently joined, and I'm questioning if they are for real or just joking with us.

You can see a little sliver that says they posted, but they're on your ignore list. Also blocks PMs. Works beautifully. :)

BUT, if someone quotes them, you can see that.

I only have one person on ignore...JoeEpcotRocks. KIDDING! Not Joe! Don't always agree Joe, but v. much enjoy his posts. :)
