I was just a the DVC site and it has no real useful information. It's a real disappointment to me. I find better information here. I can't find anything special about the site. I wish they would put something that would make me want to visit it more than once a year.
I voted NO, because I answered your question " Anyone else think DVC site is useless? ". I use it regularly for points charts, and for dreaming about far away places. I am not a paper person, and do everything online. So I'd rather go to the web-site rather than dig out our member guidebook.
I also use it for emails to MS... Booked a trip via the email form, and requested a points activity report via an email request. If you can't take the time to call during the week, the email form seems to work ok.
It's a lot better than it was a year ago. At least DVC has a plan to upgrade the site...it just won't happen overnight. And, they seem to be using it much more to communicate changes as they happen (AP discounts, Braves Spring Training perk, etc.)
I'll abstain for the moment. Rome wasn't built in a day. Ask again on 12/31/05.
Yes. It is a vast improvement over the old site. But it still has a way to go to be a realy great site for us. It is my understanding that it will include real time contract and account access and reservation capabilties in the future. Both of these are very important enhancements.
I like to view the resorts. Although I haven't in awhile. I do use the point calculator. I do think it could be improved to include alot more info. I depend greatly on these boards as I find them unbias.
I voted no, but. I think the current site is more useful to computer geeks , like those that designed it and less useful to the average person. Lots of information but not always easy to find. I also think the whole security thing with cards sent out was a waste of money and should have used the info on our member ID cards instead so that if something got screwed up you would have the info to fix it.
