"Official" 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Yeah, I remember it was later. Did they share some merch and food options the same day?

So we have a trip early August. We are big into Halloween but to our jobs summer is really the only time we can travel. So we've always wanted to do the party and now it seems like the first party date should work if it matches last year's calendar.

I see that the first day is more expensive. Does that date sell out quickly? Is day one not a great day to go? Outside of celebrating Halloween about 3 months early is a little off, but I don't think I want to let the opportunity to do Halloween at Disney slip away no matter how hot it is!

Final question, I swear. I bought the discounted kids tickets offer before I knew this could be possible. 3 day tickets (mom, dad, two boys 6 and 4). MK is one of the parks we were planning on. Is it a waste or good idea to do it same day as the party and stay for the party? Thanks!!

Really hoping Friday Aug 8 is the first Halloween Party!! We are there 6-9 before we head out on the Treasure! Pretty sure first one sells out quick.

The first night of the party usually has a ton of vloggers, bloggers and media. That is generally why it's more expensive. It will likely be a bit more on the crowded side.

While I've only done the Christmas party, I'd say that it's not the best idea to do a park day on the same day as a party day. But if you want to do MK all day and then do the party - make sure your next day is a sleep - in / relax day. :)

Actually we have done MK on the day of a party and found that although the park closed at 6pm to day guests it was way less crowded than a non-party day so if you don’t mind the shortened day it’s a good day to do MK.

I keep checking hoping for dates.... My kids have a random 5 day weekend the end of Sept. We were planning to do a day at Epic and a party. Looks like I'll have to do Epic on Sat which I'd rather not do, but if parties are not on weekends, then thats what I'll do.

Yes. I was just thinking it would be a very long day to do MK during the day and the party at night - when the poster has a 4 & 6 year old.

We've done MK on a party day, too, but we left at 6 and didn't stay for the party. The crowds are certainly lighter.

I’m breaking out my Gideon’s Bakehouse Halfway to Halloween shirt today. Hopefully, the announcement will come soon because I will also be trying to get DVC Moonlight Magic tickets for our same travel week. I don’t think there will be date conflicts, but I would like to know.

Can your kids handle going all day? At 4 or 6, my DD was done by 6 pm. We usually go to MK from 7:30-2 on a party day and knock out tons of rides before the party crowds arrive. We have done that plus a hotel break and 9 pm Epcot fireworks. You know your family best, but keep the heat in mind.

With the heat, and kids those ages, I would not do a full MK day and the party on the same day. My kids were usually done by about 4pm when they were that age and we don't go when it's that hot. They're 12 and 9 now and still can't do a true full day (rope drop to close) without a decent afternoon break.

Which park were you skipping? And do you only have three days of trip to match the three days of tickets?

To maximize your tickets, you could always do the park you were going to skip on the MNSSHP morning, then nap/swim in the afternoon before the party.

Or, if you were going to have one resort/rest day in the schedule, I would turn the MNSSHP day into the rest day, then do your full MK day or go to the fourth park on your original rest day.

With younglings that likely can't (or won't) do the bigger coasters at MK, you could easily get many of the rides done in the 4-7pm mix-in time on party day, and then do the rest during party time between shows and trick or treating.

Iv said to myself I will only go this year if Disney make some big changes.

Been way to similar last 3/4 years so updates would be good.

After our horrible experience last year (torrential rain, like past my ankles) I swore we'd never do a party again in August during the rainy season. And agree, I've been telling myself the same thing as you!

After reading all of the posts about lower crowds on party dates, we arrived at the MK at 10AM and while we had a great day, we did not experience low crowd levels. It was very similar to a normal day. Having said that we are likely going to give it a shot again this year. It does make for a long day so we tried it early in the week for the first party we went to that trip.

My bet is we will only see the dates announcement on Monday or Tuesday...
