Somehow logged in during site maintenance, all my points gone

It's concerning that it looks like the system would potentially allow me to borrow from a contract that is no longer mine (a contract I already sold). Note I would never do that, but I think this could end up a real mess if they aren't quick to fix this.

Same…I can borrow from contracts I don’t own…and given I have resale contracts, I worry that someone else has access to the ones I do.

They should shut the system down and fix this.

Wow - now that’s news to me and this is potentially the biggest issue of them all.

I have sold contracts in the past and I just checked and I do see them but even if I would I can’t borrow from them - they are all listed as 0 points.
 
I just did a very unscientific test with my AKV contract which is experiencing the points/booking issue.

If I try to modify a reservation which is for the 11 month window the system can’t see my points - if I try to change the dates to something during the 7 months window the system can see my points perfectly fine.
Curious, and I know it shouldn’t matter, but is the AK you can’t modify prior to 7 months deeded for Kidani or Jambo? Wondering if they somehow goofed that up for the rooms that aren’t working.

Well.
I have two contracts both are deeded to Kidani, at least if you look at the comptrollers website.

However, when booking one has Kidani preselected that’s the one causing problems. The other which is not causing problems has Jambo preselected.

To be fair, I haven't proceeded beyond a quick look to see what would happen; I don't want to mess with someone else's points! Maybe the system wouldn't allow it at all. If I pretend like I want to book for 11 months at the resort I no longer own, I get a warning that the dates are no longer available, though they clearly are. It does allow me to proceed as though I'm doing a seven month booking though it appears, to potentially borrow someone else's points....I would never, but if this functionality is not shut off, it could spell big problems.
 
After reading this out of curiosity I checked to see what happens if I try to follow the steps of borrowing from a contract I sold (had no intention of actually completing the process). The contracts shows 0 points available for borrowing. Unless the owner had used all the points already, at least for me it doesn’t seem to be allowing it.

Totally agree this is a big mess up that needs to be resolved quickly.
 
I have a BWV contract and it works fine at the 11 month window.

Don’t think this is related to walking - if it were DVC would have to notify us first, as walking is not against the rules.

@pangyal can you try and modify your reservation to something random within the 7 month window. You don’t need to complete it just stop and check the contract selection.
I just tried this and got a message popping up saying that something had gone wrong, please try again later. I tried ten different rooms and dates within the seven month window and got the error pop up each time.

Wonder if it will work to have them preselect Jambo instead of Kidani. I assume whatever they need to do behind scenes to make that work could be enough.
I’m gonna try and call and give it a chance.

ETA: Talked to MS and they couldn't make the change right now due to a glitch in the system from the update a week ago :-)

This tells me they are aware of the problem with Kidani vs Jambo house.

Still wonder if they are able to make the change at all, but let's see. Unfortunately it didn't bring us any closer to a possible solution/workaround.

I am really curious how far along in the process it lets you go. Are you seeing a number other than zero as available points in the contracts you no longer own? I have multiple long-sold contracts showing up and I can get as far as holding a room with these, but it won’t show me that any points are available and tells me I have to borrow (with 0 points available to borrow) in order to complete that reservation.

If even a single member is seeing a number other than zero for a contract they no longer own, then this is probably the biggest fustercluck I have seen with DVC to date.

They do only show zero, and I did try to move beyond but it still showed zero when it gave me the option to borrow.

So, that is least a plus…but, I am still uneasy that maybe there could be ones out there that somehow have points?

It’s really a complete mess and I want it fixed. I’ll give them a few days to respond and then I’ll escalate it. Once I don’t see the old contracts I think that will be a good sign that all points will be back and eligible for the resorts they are supposed to be eligible at.
 
I managed to cancel and rebook my reservation this morning. Now the reservation is using my Jambo contract and points, and that’s not impacted.

Not sure when you last tried this, but I was definitely able to change from 7 nights to 5 nights for Aulani (as a home resort reservation), and then reuse the points for a separate (home resort) Aulani booking. All resale contracts.

Maybe the issue is WDW-specific...?

Has anyone modified the people/ names on their reservations since this glitch? I’m wondering if it’s a bad time but I really need to do it for our Aulani trip.

Well, I was able to modify the names (Aulani resy, SSR points) with no problem yesterday. This morning I was able to successfully book at BLT at 11m but the booking page was very slow to load.

Do you get the Dwarfs before the page with the guest info loads or after you try to make changes? I'm only curious because I made a reservation at VGC months ago that gave me Dwarfs when even trying to view the guest info (as in click modify and immediately get Dwarfs). Oddly enough after the updates I can get to the next page, but am afraid to try changing anything.

I’m getting them after I enter all the 2nd guest information, and click through to confirm. It buffers for a bit and then I get the Dwarfs. I go back into the reservation and the 2nd guest information is still missing.

So, I have a random Hilton Head contract (of which I've sold 2 in the past) and a Boulder Ridge contract (which I've never owned) showing up as Home Resorts/contracts along with my Old Key West contracts now.

Adding to my concern is I just closed on a Beach club contract last week, which is AWOL, and I'm hoping they weren't loading the wrong resort.

I guess I'll need to wait and see how long it takes for Disney IT to resolve this.
