I LOVE sushi ... I'm with a couple of other posters who said they could eat it every day and not get sick of it.
Just for the record ... sushi does not have to have raw fish, and nor does it have to have any fish/seafood at all (a lot of people keep saying "gross" raw fish! blaghhh). Some delicious possibilities for people who don't want to eat raw fish include a california roll (imitation crab salad plus avacado ... mmmm), a veggie roll (various veggies), cucumber roll, avacado roll (delicious), asparagus roll, tamago (egg omelette on top of a square of rice -- very mild and delicious), eel (this is fully cooked in a teriyaki-like sauce and tastes like a mild flaky fish), cooked shrimp, and there is also a kind (don't know the same) that is rare tuna -- slightly cooked with a red interior, like tuna you might get at a fancy restaurant.
If you are curious about sushi, some japanese restaurants have a combo with some teriyaki or whatever you might like and a little bit of sushi. You can ask your server to tell the sushi chefs to pick "beginner" & non raw fish sushi for you for the combo.
As for me, I love some of the "beginner" sushi varieties, but I also love the raw fish varieties. In fact, I love raw fish so much (those of you 'haters' out there cannot possibly imagine how tender the fish is and how delicate the flavors are!) that I have "graduated" to sashimi (usually a selection of raw fish served with a bowl of rice!) MMMM....
