Do you get work anniversary gifts?

Now no. But back in the 90’s we got points to use towards a catalog and I still use the set of stainless steel bowls I ordered. Best ever!!!

I work for a Fortune 500 company and we do the whole points towards items in a catalog thing. I’m not sure what years they do them but I got one at 5 so I’m thinking 5,10,15 etc.

I'm a schoolteacher and we get a certificate after a certain milestone numbers of years. No gifts.

Yes we do, on milestone anniversaries only - 5, 10, 15 etc. I'm at 15 years this week.

The "prize" is a choice from a catalog; bigger items based on longer years of service. There's a charity option and I always take that. I don't care anything for a piece of luggage or a set of steak knives.

For one if my jobs, yes. Every 5 years we get to pick something out - they send us links to a few websites that do the tiered rewards based on years worked. For my 20th anniversary I picked an air fryer! Use that thing all the time!!

I got a pen for my 5th anniversary with my previous company. A coworker was annoyed as she'd hit 5 years the year before and not received one. However right before I started everyone working there got several gifts such as travel mugs that I missed - as I don't use them I didn't really care.

Every 5 years - we also have a gift catalog to choose from. I think on my 10th, I chose a cooler. For 5 years, I ordered a duffle bag.

Yeah, all employees who reached a certain milestone get entered into a raffle for a bottle of water and a bag of potato chips.

My company has service awards after 2, 5, 10, and every five years after that. The 2 and 5 recipients are combined at a luncheon at some rented facility. For 10 there is a catered lunch on the lawn of the company headquarters. For 15, 20, etc. there is a dinner dance at a ballroom. Spouses or a plus one invited.

Gifts are chosen from a catalogue. It used to be a booklet back in the Stone Age, now it’s from a website. Gifts get better the longer the service. And as @NotUrsula mentioned above, we get additional paid days off during that particular year; the number depends on length of employment.

At 25 years we automatically get invited to the annual retreat/trip for that year’s top performers.

I have a combined 25 years of service, but there was an eight year gap in between. I didn’t quite make my first 10 year anniversary, but on the second time around I made it to 15. The 2020 celebration was postponed until 21 so it was larger than normal.

My supervisor pulled some strings and I’ll be eligible for my 25th anniversary trip next spring to the Dominican Republic, if all goes well. That may be the only reason I won’t retire by the end of this year.

My Dh gets to pick from a catalog. I think it might be in 5 or 10 year increments.
We are on our 2nd grill right now.
We were also considering a tv or air conditioner.
For your company I like the visa gift card or a day off.

At 10 years and 15 years we get a 2% salary bump.

And increase in vacation at 3, 7, 15 years.

We get something every 5 years. We get to pick from a catalog of stuff dependent on the anniversary year.

They also do this booklet. An email gets sent out to the people you work with-- your manager sends them the list. THose people get an email to write a note that goes in a booklet that is printed. It's also available to look at online.

Lol no. I’m a public school teacher.

After the first year of survival, our school gives out a button that says 1st year.
And every 5th year they give out a new button.

Yes. For any anniversary ending in a 5 or 0 you get an additional week of paid vacation for the that year. Pre-pandemic we also have a very nice upscale catered banquet for the years ending in a 5 or 0 years. I'll be 25 years in 2023 so on top of my my regular 28 days of vacation in will get an additional 5 days so 33 days total.
