Do you ever get pin codes from Disney?

No pins codes for us either. We've never booked cash rooms direct from Disney before which may be why we don't get them. I do get the passholder e-mails, but had to register for those on the passholder website.

If you continue to book cash rooms through CRO, you will get them though (provided you get one - it's random). We got 2 or 3 this year. If you never book on cash through CRO, you won't, I don't think.

::yes:: But through a different email with my married name. Our DVC has my maiden name since I legally never changed it some 17 years ago. And the weird thing is that I get them for Disneyland.

I started to get them after I requested the Disney vacation planning DVD. I heard others report that they get them after they register on the Disney site and plan and save a vacation (but not yet book or pay). I'm sure it is a mystery though...like all things Disney.

Just got two pins yesterday actually. I get lots of emails from Disney Destinations all the time, sometimes they are sent in my name, sometimes my dh's name, sometimes my maiden name!? All of them to my current email. Strange. I have no idea what the rhyme or reason behind it all is... We still take trips on cash booked through CRO so I guess they see us as continual/future customers even though we are DVC members too.

I received my first and only pin code a few years after becoming a DVC Member.

I do get pin codes but haven't stayed on cash basis at WDW since 2005. I got one for April that I"m using for the Saturday night before our cruise. Trying POR-FQ for the first time ever! I think the total cost was $154 for the night.

I've been registered on Disney.com for many years and previous to being a DVC member. I never received pin codes prior to being a DVC member nor since becoming one. It is a mystery!

It's been something like 4-5 years since I've stayed on a cash reservation, and I get PINs a couple times a year. Just got one yesterday, in fact, 40% off Vero and HH.

I've never received a PIN from WDW, the only thing I get is my yearly maintenance fee/tax statement and several different offers to add-on.

i've done all of the above mentioned and have never got a saving code from disney. Still hoping to get something from disney LOL

We've never received pins codes even before we purchased DVC. :sad2: I guess they could see we booked every year anyway.

They don't seem to send PIN codes to me anymore (used to get them all the time), however, since I signed the kids up for the free DVD a few years back, we still receive PINs addressed to them as "Kids <lastname>" (mostly through email)

Editing to add: as the "name" on the pin isn't for an actual person residing here, I've been told the Pin codes are useless :rotfl:

no and i wish i would since i am thinking about a few days stay in august not in a villan since i dont have any points to stay for an entire week...

We have been members for 10 years (give or take) and have never received a pin code. We have stayed at POR and CBR through CRO twice in the middle of that too.

next best disney secret;)

in order to increase ur chances of getting a pincode, sign into ur account on disney website & price out a trip in the category/time frame u desire; making sure to save the trip in ur account.

Many have reported on theme park/strategies board that they promptly received pincode. Might not be the one they were aiming for:laughing:, but a pincode none the less.

We did receive 2 last year, when none had ever been forthcoming in the past.

Yes, I do...every few months. I just got one the other day. We haven't paid cash for a room since '07.
