I was just wondering how many of you take this in stride? I didn't ride last year while at MGM, but am dying to do it next month. I've never done a ride upside down before, but have heard that it's smooth. When I mentioned that to my 8 year old's friend, he smirked and told me he rides it all the time!!! I believe that's a challenge in my neck of the woods, my friend!

Seriously, I've co-piloted a MIG jet several years ago (once in a lifetime chance that I couldn't pass up) and I did fine.

Should I be scared of this? I braved ToT, but won't repeat that experience even though I'm proud I did it. Just curious what everyone thought ...

Thanks!!
Melissa

It's VERY fast and smooth. It's one of those coasters that you can feel safe because of the way you are held into the seat you know you not going anywhere. I loved it - screamed the whole ride and can't wait to do it again. I don't love ToT and other weightless feeling rides but this coaster is a must for me. Have fun.

I was:scared: the first time I rode but since that first ride I can't get enough of R&R.::yes:: :wave2: ::MickeyMo

I just love R&R Coaster. It is one of my favorites at WDW. When we were there last month I rode it 3 times in a row and could of kept going on it more. It is the smoothest ride at WDW.

I've never done it before but next time I am determined to do it!
I love Space Mountain and other thrill rides as long as they're not based on big drops (i.e. ToT, which I don't think I'll ever go on), and after DH went on RnR last time he said there wasn't too much of that weightless feeling I hate!

I say go for it!!

I ride it every trip. But I will say that I have yet to find a ride anywhere that I wouldn't do. I love all the thrill rides. Last trip, our daughter (7 at the time) did Space, Splash and Big Thunder Mtns. and Test Track. Rockin Roller Coaster was the only one she didn't get to but she will next month along with Mission Space. I'd say go for it.

I love it! For years I rode it alone, because DH refused to try it. Then, on our trip last December - he gave in. He was an instant fan, and rode it 2-3 times afterwards! And he says he doesn't like roller coasters...;)

I'm not a roller coaster type--I don't even like Space Mountain. But, I LOVE Rock 'n Roller Coaster!!!

We missed it in July because we had our 6 year old grandson with us (not tall enough).

We'll be there next week & I can't wait to ride!

I really enjoyed RnR and so did my 7 yr. old DD. Try it, you'll like it:D

This past September I fianlly worked up enough corage to ride R&RC. Lets just say I'm at the age where somethings..how can I put this "HAVE GONE SOUTH". There wasn't a line so no time to back-out, change my mind..ect..like I said when the ride stated I had something's south then...flip...everything went back to it's original position then...flip...back south...flip...original position...see where I'm going with this right. I LOVED IT...FLIP...I HATED IT...all at the same time. If you co-piloted a MIG jet you'll be fine...flip...Love it.::yes::

I didn't think I would like it either as I have never enjoyed going upside down but it is a blast and I ride it at least 10 times now each trip!!

I absolutely love Rockin Roller Coaster.....this will be my (and my 2 sons) first ride when we arrive in December! It is the best! It's also great that I get to see Steven Tyler in the Preshow!

As far as coasters go it's pretty tame. Being indoors and in the dark makes it more exhilarating. I've piloted a private plane before and that was much more nerve wrecking.

I am not a huge rollercoaster fan but this is a great ride. It is very smooth and while you know that you are inverted, it is not scary. Enjoy your trip.

Having read in Birnbaum's last year that RNRR was a ride for those that "consider TOT tame" (and I have never ridden TOT because I am too chicken/hate drops), I was not planning to ride the roller coaster...ever. However, while at the park, I was feeling brave and decided to give it a try!! It was so much fun! This is the only upside-down ride I have ever ridden, but it was so smooth and quick that I didn't feel it at all. I was actually looking down for a second while in one of the loops and didn't feel at all different! Give it a try because I know you will love it... one of the things I loved most about it was that there were no large drops, as in other typical theme parks. Just lots of turns, etc. The most intense part was the launch-off, but it only seemed to last for a few seconds. The pre-show is awesome and the theming is great... have fun!
:upsidedow :tilt:

I have ridden this ride many times (even with my 63 year old mother), and consider it pretty tame as far as coasters go. Cedar Point in Ohio has much more challenging rides such as the Millenium Force.

Ride it and enjoy!

I went upside down? ROFLOL!! Seriously it is that fast. I didn't even really notice that I had gone upside down the first time. It was awesome! A kick in the pants and a huge adrenaline rush!

:earsgirl:

I think that it is awesome, but then again, I am a coaster lover.

RnR is so smooth that it's one of the few coasters that I don't have to take motion sickness medicine before riding. Love it!
