I do, a little. Most of it went up this weekend. I admit, its a little early, but we took all of our Christmas stuff down on New Year's, and I don't do generalized "winter" decorations, so I was ready to decorate for a new holiday. Bear in mind I worked for JoAnn Fabrics for more than 10 years, so I have picked up a LOT of holiday crap over the years. :rolleyes1

I have a heart-shaped wreath that goes up, and several decorative heart "picks" that go into all the potted plants. I also have a small decorative wooden heart that hangs on the doorknob. All the DD's have strings of plastic heart-shaped beads to decorate their rooms, and we have Valentine's themed window clings. We also have Valentine's placemats and table decor.

All this will come down right after Valentine's, and there will be no decor till March 1, when the St. Pat's stuff goes up. We don't do much at all for this holiday, being NOT Irish even a little bit, but we have some green garland and beads and stuff. The beginning of March is also when I switch to Spring-themed decor... spring florals and wreaths, garlands and swags, spring table linens and decor. Right after St. Patrick's Day, Easter decor will go up.

Decorating for each holiday is one of my coping mechanisms for dealing with winter. :crazy2: I HATE winter, and as I decorate for each holiday and look forward to it, and the coming seasons, it helps me concentrate a little less on how miserable it is outside and how much I loathe the season.

So who else has Valentine's stuff up, and what do you have?

I hear ya Sorsha! I don't do nearly as much as when the kids were younger, but I still decorate some. I put up some red hearts and I have a little heart tree. Just like you I think it helps with the LOOOONG NE winters. Seeing red hearts just makes me smile and makes everyone who comes into my house smile too. Oh, I also have a couple of Mickey (what else!!??) valentine stuffed animals that I use. I also put up some St. Patrick stuff. We are not Irish, but my daughter was born of St. Patrick's Day. We call her our little Italian leprechaun!! And yes, I decorate for Easter too. My mother didn't do much for any holiday and when I was young I told myself that when I had kids I would go all out for holidays. I just think it's fun!!!

Enjoy The Magic!!

I do! I have Valentine placemats on our kitchen table and some things across the mantle (a winnie the pooh heart snowglobe and some other little love/heart mementos) and have taped up on the doors some Valentine cutouts. I like to decorate. The house seems empty without it! Next St. Patricks Day, but we'll see if I'm up for that... all depends when baby comes!

I put a tablecloth with hearts on it on my dining room table. I have a wreath on my back door that has interchangeable little for each holiday, so on February 1st the heart will go up, I have a candy dish with hearts on it...I put a few little things around. Looks cute.

Oh wow! You are due very close to then, aren't you? I would imagine there won't be much decorating going on in your house... just a new wee one, decorating your life!

ok, that sounded cheesy, even to me... :lmao: Must stop watching baby delivery shows on TLC...

Yep, my apartment is all ready for valentines day! My favorite color is PINK so why wouldn't i decorate my place with my favorite color? ;):goodvibes

Nope. I'm lucky to get Xmas decorations up and down:rotfl: I still haven't unpacked my stocking yet. Maybe if I got off the damn computer I could get something done around here;)

Holy crap - People decorate for Valentines day? :duck:

I so had never even thought of that....

...I put Valentine's towels in our powder room downstairs - they look darling!

Nope! It hasn't been that long since we took our tree down, so I'm enjoying a decor-free house until the Easter bunny shows up.

OK.. take a field trip. Go to JoAnn's. Or Michael's. Or even WalMart.

Take a look at all the Valentine's Day stuff they sell... the wreaths, garlands, florals, knick-knacks. Then take a look at St. Pat's in line right behind it. When I worked at JoAnn's, "seasonal decor" was always in our top 5 selling list, every week, no matter what the season.

Some people decorate for EVERYTHING.

I am one of them....

I did when the kids were small. Now Christmas is the only holiday we really decorate for. I have a few things for Easter and Halloween, but not much anymore.

:shamrock:

I decorate. I have pink floral garlands over some of my windows in the great room and some red valentine garland over the rest. I also decorate the table with a red cloth, pink runner and red heart candy dishes. Pink valentine dish towels in the kitchen. A few heart dangly things in the windows.

I will take it down after Valentines day and put out a few St Patrick's Day decorations. I also decorate for Easter. I do not have a lot of knick knacks out so it is easy to change out my decorations.

My Valentine's Day is usually spent in a hotel with my bf as I travel with him on the weekends (he travels a lot for work on the weekends in January-March). So I pack my extra large suitcase full of Valentine's stuff :) I have the cutest streamer things I hang from the ceiling, lots of flameless candles, little Valentine's Day trees, Valentine's Day tablecloths (we're usually in places that have full kitchens/living room/dining rooms). I love decorating for holidays :goodvibes.

My dog won't let me put clothes on her  so I buy lots of holiday collars from this website: www.k9bytesgifts.com

The sad thing is that I have all of the collars in this picture :rotfl: and then some! At least they're not expensive...:rolleyes1 (BTW, they have cat collars too)

Oh those are SOOOO cute!!

Makes me wish I had a fur-baby so I could decorate him/her with those adorable collars!!

We have a cat, but she lives indoors, and is very snooty... she thinks collars are beneath her dignity.

Yes we do. Kitchen towels, a few small decorations here and there around the house. We like to see the changing holidays.
