Do we tip the mousekeepers daily or at end of trip

Just curious if I can leave one tip at the end of the trip, or should I tip the mousekeepers each day since we may have a different mousekeeper each day?

Thanks in advance.

We tip each day, just in case our 'usual' mousekeeper is off that day. I made tip envelopes, and added personal notes each day. Then our mousekeeper, Elizabeth, added a little note to us each day. She was great ... clean room, towel animals, and commented on our Christmas Decorations. We gave her $3 - $4 per day for 3 adults.

I tip $1 per person per day daily :). I still don't get any towel animals ... the housekeeping must know that I tip no matter where I stay!

We tip daily just in case of a change in shifts or our mousekeeper is off on our check out date. That goes for any hotel/resort we stay in. The amount is up to you.

We also tip daily. On our last trip in September, it was my dh and me and our 22 year old dd. We did not get any towel animals so I left a note and asked to get one. Every day after that we did. I don't know if they thought that since we were all adults we didn't want any but we did!

Our friend is the general manager of a very famous hotel ;) and he suggests daily tipping, as the housekeeping staff can be reassigned day to day.

That's what we do now... $5 the first day and $3 a day subsequent days (there are three of us) , and $5 the last day.

I try to tip every day, though sometimes I forget. I do make sure to tip well on the first day of the trip though, helps Mousekeeping know that I'm going to treat them well.

I tip daily. Also, If you're staying on Club Level be sure to leave a tip in the evening for you're nightly turn-down service. I have my envelopes all ready to go :).

Sorry... this might seem naive... but what do they do other then move the sheets and turn on the lights...

We have never tipped at night before...we do in the morning though.

Where do you leave the tip if you're not in the room? I'm always afraid they'll miss it and think we're rotten vacationers!

We always leave ours with a little note (usually written on the note pad) on the desk or by the TV... it's usually pretty obvious..

I personally feel it's proper to tip the person handling the nightly turn-down. It's not the same person who cleaned your room earlier but they are performing a service for you. It's not just about sheets and lights. They really do their best to make the room inviting to you after a long day at the parks.

Of course tipping in general is at the discretion of each individual. We all have different practices.

Prior to making our own evelopes we would leave the money on the night table with a little thank you note.

I tip $5/day. I made up notes with check boxes for possible requests, such as replace bedding, extra towels, etc... the notes are very up beat and written in English and Spanish.

I thought I was doing the right thing until last year when an English speaking mouse keeper scolded me for being prejudice. I didn't think that leaving a note in a second language was out of line in central Florida, but she thought differently.

After that experience I stopped tipping $5 and left $2 without a note.

I'll make a few envelopes up and mark them with Mousekeeping. I'll probably tip a few dollars each day. Me and my traveling group generally arent at all messy, and my mother is a bit of a neat freak anyways. My mother wasnt planning to tip them, but I said I will handle the tips for the few sit down places we have meals, and mousekeeping/housekeeping.

We tip everyday. $5.00 a day. I work in a hotel and I know how hard housekeepers work! I found mouse keeping tip envelopes that are down loadable at mouseforless.com and I use those.
